These are some of the positives that come to mind as to why potential coaches should look at coaching us before any other side-
Great supporter base we currently have 36,248 members and thats when were playing poor footy. Our side is a sleeping giant imagine our membership figures if we started playing finals footy.
We are currently upgrading our facilities at Punt Rd at a cost of over $20 million.
Were passionate about our footy and theres nothing better than winning and hearing the crowd singing the club song after the game.
Best club song in the league I dont think anyone could deny that.
We have a decent young group of talented players to form the basis of our side for the next few years-
Collins, Connors, Cotchin, Deledio, Foley, Jackson, McGuane, Moore, Morton, Nahas, Newman, Polo, Rance, Riewoldt, Thursfield & White.
Together with up and coming players- Post, Putt & Vickery.
Also throw in some players that have either not been given a fair chance to play senior footy, are injured or played out of position - Edwards, Hughes, Pattison, Raines, Schulz, Tambling & Thomson and you have a half decent side to choose from. Theres also Richo who will always give you 120% every week.
We have a good list of players that will be competitive. We just need a game plan and an inspirational coach which is what we are lacking at the moment and we will be playing competitive football sooner that we think.
