Some speculations about 08

Just sitting around and giving a bit of thought to where we might be this time next year.
September:
1) 15th or 16th place giving us lets say Draft Picks 1, 17, 19, 35, 51 and 67.
2) Gaspar, Hall, Hartigen, Jackson, Kingsley & Knoble delisted.

October:
1)Trade Hughes and d/p 67 to Crows for Meeson and Raines to Brisbane for Wood.
2)Fail in strong attempt to get West Coast to trade Judd despite having persuaded Judd to Come to Punt Road, who announces RFC as his preferred destination.

November:
1) Take Kruezer at no 1 in the draft. Draft best available with D/P 17,19,35 and 51, all of whom have outstanding disposal by foot.

December:
1) Take Judd in pre season draft.

Something tells me West Coast will not let Judd fall through to the pre-season draft and lose him for nothing. If they are sure he wants to go they will do a hard bargain for him - and someone will bite because he is that good and no other club will want the bottom side to get him for free in the PSD.

Meesen hasnt played a game. Was taken at 8 in the 2004 draft and has been struggling with injuries. Played NAB Cup game this year, 10min in did his knee, and is still 5-6 weeks away.

That trade mention with Hughes ... Not gonna happen.

I agree with the thought, but the team needs a few changes changes.

Raines should not be drafted, give the kid a break. He nearly won the rising star award last year and this season hasnt kicked off well, but he will bounce back.

Newman will not be an emergency....mark my word, he is up there to be our next captain. The guy has been a tiger from day one and is one of the only reasons I'm going this saturday again.

JON is a flash in the pan, I dont expect him to come on. He blazes away, doesnt think, he has no poise. He needs to be swaped directly with Newman and newman needs the CAPT in brackets next to his name.
