We had 95 more marks! 95! is that a record? 157 - 62
We had 86 more disposals than them. 392 - 306
In saying that, they had 1 more handball.
They smashed us in hitouts. 42-20.
We had 1 more tackle! 48-47. That is different.

How did we go in the kicking department.

More kicks then handballs?

Simmo is really struggling. His knee looks like it is really troubling him and you could actually see him limping out there today!

Port can blame themselves for that mark count, Man up and you won't get marks like that!!

i only watched the last on tv and it seemed to me that the gameplan was chipping into the wind ala a few years back v Geelong

Since 1988, the only time there's been a bigger difference was last year, R11 Brisbane v Port, when Brisbane had 98 more marks (172-74). Next biggest difference is 79 marks.

Port's strategy may have been to pressure us inside 50 and run off our forwards, who aren't perceived to be very hard-working when it comes to defence. If that was the plan, it came unstuck in a big way with us scoring 19 goals in three quarters.

Ratio of 8:5 kicks to handballs. Good to see.

Extra possies doesn't mean much though - not with the way we fooled about at the end. Although, that said, I think we had something like 103 possessions to 56 in the 3rd term they said on the ABC, so perhaps I am doing the Tiges an injustice. Bit of both me thinks!

What was the free kick count? I don't normallly whinge about umpiring, but they cost us a couple of goals. High to Brown etc NOT paid and a free to them in front which was Not high I thought. I had steam coming out of my ears!!

Agreed, a few of our guys nearly lost their heads today, and don't get me started on the mark.... >:(

Umpires cost us 24pts today, push in the back on McGuane Motlop kicks goal. mark not paid to Tucky (no goal), round the neck to Brown (no goal) round the neck to Port Player (goal)
