Hey,

I was bored and found myself checking my profile info and discovered i have been here since April 28, 2003, 04:56:29 am. Prior to this i was a member of Roar Power and TigerFury.

I suppose i can be considered a voyeur of PRE ever since, considering i have posted about 5 times in 5 years lol. I guess my point to this is....

Who else read's without posting and how long have you been around? My excuse? Slack, Shy, lost interest, Tiges up/down, got new GF, lost new GF lol etc..(oh drunk)

As i have been lazy i hope this question hasn't been asked recently...and figured it is a good time to bring the voyeurs out and maybe encourage them to SPEAK up hehe.

Hope to hear from all, new, old and prolific posters haha...

Cheers,

Harry... >:D

I’d suggest the point is too much hemp, Harry.

Perhaps try cutting back and just being Harry. (can there be only one?!) Otherwise you’ll continue being listless, sporadically posting about glow-sticks, cereal and old Hogan’s Heroes episodes.

Good luck!

I dont have anything worthwhile to say ;D

I do pop in every other day. Enjoy Phantoms posts on new recruits, and training reports. Only come here, no other sites.

Have a good one! 8)

Good post.

I started viewing the RoarPower boards in what must have been close to late 1999 early 2000. Rosie was a poster only back then. She was one of the few women among a number of men who posted in the early days of unofficial club boards. I remember her (as well as the handfull of other women) copping a few untoward comments for it. Now she is the boss (and is doing an excellent job in my opinion).

(For nostalgia sake, I also remember another site, I can't remember the name, that used to do a quarter by quarter summary of each Richmond match. The site was divided into particular seasons, and then each season was divided into rounds, for example rounds 1-6 etc ... I thought the summaries used to be very insightful. I recall that when you entered the site, if you had your sound on, a siren used to go off. Does anyone remember the name of the website?)

I was a public servant back then and had plenty of time on my hands (could put in an 8 hour day, spend a good portion of it on the internet reading the posts on RoarPower, still get my work done and managed to look like a star performer!)

Hence, I was a regular viewer, but never posted. I once decided to change that by drafting a huge treatise on how the Tigers should trade Ben Holland while he had currency (must have been about 2000/2001) including setting out all my reasoning. Spent about 2 hours in the drafting. Lost the draft before I could hit "post". Was gun shy ever since.

I have managed 6 posts (including this) on PRE and a similar number of BigFooty. Only post when absolutely necessary or have too much time on my hands (which, with work and family commitments, is rarely).

I usually only view as a guest as well. I wonder how many people viewing as "guests" are actually members who have not logged in? Becuase I am unlikely to post, I therefore usually only view as a guest.

Anyway, thought that your post was particually pertinent to me as a long time viewer but rare poster.

Cheers

Ruby

I joined up in late October a good 5 months after you Harry but have managed to clock up a highly impressive 33 posts [at the Chris Tavare-esque rate of 0.017 per day] - putting your contributions in the shade.

But seriously - I enjoy reading PRE but rarely feel the need to post. Most of my views are articulated better by other posters than If I tried myself. I do like the differing range of opinions and perspectives offered by the various posters here and spend/waste a lot of time lurking and reading.

So in summary - keep up the good work everyone - I'm just going to sit here and do nothing. ;D

i'm the same with melbourne victory.net. i've been there a while now but have only posted a few times. but i dont go on there to post, i only go on there to get information. a lot of the unnecesary and shocking language on that site puts me off to be honest (bloody gen Y).

but as for PRE, how could i not post? i wanna be part of the complete and utter meltdown on PRE if we lose in round 1, or if BC relapses :hihi

I another who only chimes up when ive got something new to add...

Even though im not a darksider i tend to agree with claw in the most part.

I'm with you Harryhemp. I've no idea how I've racked up 77 posts, cos I've never got anything decent to provide but have been a loyal voyeur since 2004 also.

I guess living O/S and not being around all the action in Victoria doesnt help much.

There is a ton of great characters on here that it makes me wonder what meeting them would be like!!! I try to imagine what some of the posters are like in real life and that makes me :rofl

It's great craic reading most of the stuff here although some of it gets a bit monotonous after reading the same thing over and over and over and over.........

It's about list structure people!

Interesting that you seem so narrow minded Elmer, perhaps to much time hanging around the Warner Brothers? lol Seriously though I don't get your reply...glow sticks & Hogans Heroes WTF? (check my profile again)

Don’t go all Wavy Gravy on me Hempy. Aren’t glow-sticks, cereal and poor (late) daytime TV the remit of all stoners?

Just having a lend. It’s the off season after all, one needs to keep oneself amused.

Funny, most of my mates call me Hempy (how you know? ???)

In my day it was 7Eleven first then some chillin music hehe, no time for TV. :spin

Only reason for my reply was to make sure other voys or newbies don't get scared off by others ie: Regular posters who maybe less positive to their virgin posts lol

GFC (global financial crisis) not GFC (geelong football club)

Thats the one. Thanks for that. Looks as though it is still up and running. I presume that David Clayton is the same David C that sometime posts on here?

Cheers
