Something stinks down at Punt Rd

Re: Something stinks at Punt Rd

If I see one more person on this forum say something like it's been only been 5 years I'm going to scream!!! It seems to me that a number of people here have come to accept Richmond as a third rate unit. All they do is repeat the Miller company line that we're doing okay off field. Great! Miller did it ever occur to you that we're a football team. We can bank a billion $$$$ but it counts for nothing if we can't pick up four points on the field.

I think something does stink at Punt road. I think who ever is involved in skills coaching needs to get the sack. Terry Wallet is the king of spin but he can't deliver where it counts. He's doing another interview today on radio. Maybe he should just stay in the commentary box and leave the coaching box empty. I doubt whether we'd do any worse. This club is going backwards on the oval and the players just don't seem to be jelling as a team. Who's responsibility is that Terry. One guess. Pull your finger out son, the clock is ticking and many of us have had a gut full of your media bytes and cliches.

And every one of them got rejected as they were flawed due to ordinary planning.

You guys are so negative.

Everything is tracking beautifully and to plan.

tiger legend what acid pills have you been taking mate?

Friday's match illistrated to me that there's a major problem with coaching/assistant coaching at the club. The skill errors and overpossessing that took place hinted that there's a lack of guidence and game plan at the club.

We know that we have some very skilled young players at the club. We've seen them put in blinders so don't blame the list. The Tiges put themselves under pressure on Friday with overuse of handball and not being creative enough in the forward line.

There were times when they worked their guts off against the Dogs so we know they can put in. What they need is direction and a winning plan game plan. Thanks to Miller we're stuck with Wallace for another 2.7 years. I believe Terry is coasting at the moment which worries me a lot. One thing's certain, his wallet will perform well in the next two years. Even if you've lost interest in coaching T put in some assistant coaches who may at least skill up the young players. Do something positive, clean out the old list and bring in some skill coaches who can help them develop.

Then you can return to your true calling on the radio. (talking is definitely your forte)

I liked that they tried to take on players and bust the line on the backline.
I hated that they ran into trouble a lot, sold teammates into trouble and picked the wrong options.
I liked the hard work done in the mid field.
I hated that they kicked so badly into 50.
I hated the forward setup. If you are going to bomb it in, then you need crumbers.
Who is the skills coach for kicking.
I love Richo but why can't anybody teach him to kick under pressure?
Richmond needs an excorsism to wipe away whatever is ailing the place.
Ghosts of the past away.
Something keeps infecting the playing squad.
The inabilty to hit a target is frightening.

It takes time - it is a 5 year plan.

Patience is required.

people are saying "don't panic, we have a 5 year plan." it seems port, brisbane and maybe essendon have shown pretty good improvement this year after 1-2 years down. why haven't we after 4 years? i'm at a total loss...

are we really surprised this is happening? lets face it, we have been a laughing stock for 25 years, and we still are. we're a bunch of losers. it's ingrained in the culture.

We are only in year 4.
With year 1 results

we stank at senior level, coburg and drafting

we fixed drafting and coburg have a great young team.

now we only suck at senior level which will be the last place to improve

and there are plenty of younsters in the senior team too

as more tougsters mature and come over; results will show in the seniors

so stop looking at the AFL LADDER, you people, all of you

I think some people seem to be forgetting we played a team on Friday night a number of years ahead of us in their rebuild.

FFS, there are so many young kids in the team, yes we still have some senior duds, but you can't get rid of them all at once.

terry put the blame on the senior players... well he did in the collingwood loss. so why isn't he making them accountable? and i'm not talking about making them face the post match press conference... when is he gonna start dropping some of them?
