PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Rosy, this is related to a thread I began on the junior footballers board in regard to a young bloke I saw in the NTFL GF here in Darwin last week.  Feel free to move if you deem appropriate but I wanted to share a little more widely.

His name is Joseph Anderson and he's a 17yo midfielder.  I'm no junior footy watcher but, geez, can this lad play!  I had him pegged as B.O.G. but he was beaten to the medal only by Daryl White who was sensational for Darwin as they overcame St.Mary's.  Many up here rate him a real draft prospect.

Anyway ... I've never thought to stick my nose in, but I bit the bullet and sent an email earlier today like a good little dedicated member to the RFC about the young bloke.  30 minutes later my phone rang and I was blown away to hear "This is Francis Jackson from the Richmond Football Club".  Francis thanked me for the email and enquired as to how to get a tape of the game from AFLNT or ABC Darwin.  He asked my thoughts on Joseph and the game and assured me there'd be some follow through.

I can't tell you how rapt I was, whether this goes anywhere or not, to just feel like I'd done something useful - even from way up here.  I'm so glad to hear that this is the way the RFC does business and treats members these days.

I've since immediately rung the club and renewed my interstate membership which I'd been vowing to attend to.

Go Tiges and good on ya, Francis.
