State of Origin

I was just reading on the HUN website, that WA still hand out state of origin jumpers. This years team was announced on Tuesday night. 16 players came from Freo & WCE. Does anybody know the team that they announced?

Thanks Skybeau, wonder if Cogs would have got a guernsey if he had not done his knee? Woud have been touch & go, I think.
The article said they have done it for 5 years now, so I imagine he would have got a gig in 03 & probably 02.

Just an idea, Select the sides from teams that dont make the finals and have them play week after grand final day. Or even all players apart from grand final sides.

see my above suggestion

Yer, problem with that is look at the number of players in the WA side that are playing for W.C and Freo, if they make it that far then the WA side would be missing half its team!

disagree. planty of wa boys at other clubs. their selectors are just biased towards their own teams. remember, the diggies have something like 8 south australians in their team. and besides, they won't be up there every year (we hope)
