can anyone tell me where to find the stats for the game last night against the saints? thanks

I was there. He looked fine. Spent less time in the middle as I sensed he was being nursed, but looked fine to me. We need to keep remembering how new he still is and the fact he is still learning where to position himself.

That's what I sensed as well.

I noticed Foley not as lean as he was this time last year. This time last year he was the standout during preseason, looked very cut and noticeable vascularity. This year I can see he is carrying that little bit extra bulk. Maybe they are taking a different approach this year, maybe he is carrying an injury? Who knows.

foley is looking great imo, but i guess thats what happens when you actually work in the gym rather than stand in front of the mirror like the others seem to have done all summer

i wouldnt be surprised if he slips a little this year due to other teams putting the clamps on him....

Just some observations on the individual game stats:

1. Foley 23 possies - lead the game in possies for both teams.

2. Hyde - 7 possies, Tivendale - 10 possies...these are experienced midfield players who, against second string opposition, should be dominating these games...a big worry.

3. Silvester - 3 possies...I could have sworn I saw him muffle 4 kicks

4. Richo, Brown, Pettifer, Polak, Riewoldt all had zero tackles for the game. This is just about the entire forward line, is it any wonder we struggle to keep the ball inside 50? Against this, Lids had 5 tackles which is a great effort for a forward.

you hit the nail on the head right there....

if the RFC started handing out bonuses and paid players on tackles and shephards we would improve overnight

if each fwd applied 3 tackles per game we would win twice as amny games

Ouch.

Richo, Browny & Petiffer have been serial offenders in this area for a long time.
Once the balls out of their zone, they don't work anywhere near hard enough to apply pressure.
It kills us.

Maybe we should throw Jake King forward!
Use your imagination Terry?!?

Krakouer was a good tackler in the forward line.
