Port Adelaide today signed four players to new deals. They are Adam Kingsley, Stuart Cochrane, Josh Mahoney and Damon White (bad luck bummers).
The absence of Salopek from this list adds to speculation that he is very keen to return home to Victoria. One would have thought that if he was happy to remain at Port then a deal wouldn't have been difficult to negotiate given that has only played 11 games so far.
His stats are:
Age: 19 (born 21/6/1985)
Height: 183
Weight: 86
Drafted: 2002, pick 6
He was touted as a top 3 pick in his draft year, but ended up going at 6 after Brisbane, Sydney and the Dogs made fairly 'surprising' selections in Jared Brennan, Jarrad McVeigh and Timothy Walsh. In the TAC he was a prolific ball winner for Dandenong and from what I saw of him in a couple of games this year for Port, uses the ball well also.
What do you think? Are we any chance of luring him into the PSD? Would you want want him if we could, or would you prefer to look for a taller option that may better fit the teams needs?
