How about if a player was to go the bench then had to spend a compulsory amount of time on the bench before he can come back onto the ground, say either 5 or 10 minutes. Would certainly restrict the amount of traffic on & off the ground.

Dunno Bling. That would make it hard on coaches who want a quick word to the players on the phone or for those who came off for a quick massage etc.

Sometimes flooding will bring a team undone and other times it will win them a game.

From the H/S today

Ruckman Dean Cox said his team had been desperate to try to clear the ball in the vital final moments, but Sydney's shut-down tactics and ability to control the stoppages had been crucial.

I could handle Richmond playing like that to win us a grand final.

The thing I most dislike is playing kick to kick to run the clock down at the end of a close game. I love to see a team come from behind and win in that situation.

Funny, when there is five minutes to go in a grand final you couldn't find room to play kick to kick. I wonder why you can during home and away.

Well the easy way to fix that Rosy is to call play on when they kick the ball backwards, as in the preseason matches. The only time it is not play-on is in your forward fifty.
