I think the game at shell stadium where we almost pulled off a win by playing 2 styles of football was a pretty decent game. We played a bottle it up, chip and do nothing style for 2 of the 4 quarters, and then played run, carry and kick long in the other 2.

Was Wayne Campbell's last match for us.
That was into a gale Big Fella ,common practice for any coach on a windy day that favours one end, with Docklands an The G we dont see it used much

Is it just me,

but I have huge doubts that hes ever going to get the best out of our list.

IMO he lost a lot of our boys (maybe around the Gaspar time) - I question his coach/player relationship with our list.

It hasn't been talked about, but surely the trouble we had earlier over the Gaspar thing can't be forgotton so quickly by those involved in the group.

At the beginning of the year I would think 80 % of posters would have thought he was.

Each week the number is getting smaller. Guess it is if you go down in increments of 0.2% per week ;D

Its quite sad to see there are more darksiders than brightsiders when it comes to this topic. You know where in trouble as a club when that happens. Mistaking darksiders with the repetative grumblers - take the repeats out and perhaps the bightsiders have it ;D
I just want a Yes/no answer.

He is or he isn't - everything else he does or doesn't do gets us to this yes/no answer.

Due to the fact I think hes lost the playing group for the most of this year my answer is no. I don;t know how any of us could state that without being in the inner sanctum listening and watching. Hell we couldn't even get passed the fan friendly wire barracade mate!

No fence sitting - He either is or he isn't.

The Is's have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hope next year he can turn me to the is's.

i'm not convinced they do play for him.

I mean Bling threw the phone down on him - a 3rd YEAR player!!!!!!!! - SAYS A LOT FOR MINE.

Didn't see that on the radio ;D, but I'd rather he did that than sit down meekly. Half the Tiges problem is not enough passion or decent confrontation. The coach I played the best for I hated - respected - but still hated. I hope Tambo and Wallace have a stand up argument over it - then it will be passion and a will to prove a point to each other. It will get the best outa Blinger

we can agree on that.

Yep, that and Krak's new contract :rofl

73% YES Vs 27% NO so far.

I'm surprised to say the least. Looks like the tail's been wagging the dog on this one.

Is TW turning into Danny Frawley? He used one of Spud's dreaded cliches yesterday. Is this the fate of every Richmond coach? They start off well and then it all goes pearshaped and the club winds up down the bottom of the ladder and starts all over again with a different coach. The last one to go out with the club still doing well was Northey.

IMHO it would be a huge mistake to remove Wallace prior to the end of his contract. Three reasons:

1. He was given five years, and that is the timeline he is working to. The task at hand was huge, so he shouldn't be judged prior to then. And, as many astute posters have observed, he is turning the list over as fast as reasonably possible.

2. Presumably the four best coaches in the land will be snapped up for 2008, which would leave us the dregs for 2009 (remember Danny?)

3. He is building a list for a particular style of football. We would need to either get a new coach that wants to play the same style of football (so why bother) or be willing to sit through another (at least) partial rebuild

Particular style ???
Do tell ?
If it the doggies style , forget it.

At the begining of the year you expected 80% it is at 73% pretty amazing considering we are 1 win for the year!!
Reading this site i would have said 50/50 looks like the complainers just make more noice!!
I vote yes for the whole contract!!

Yes us 27% can be a loud, Feral mob.

Seriously though I agree that looking on this board the last month or so, the isnts' would have been at least 50%.

interesting results.

This wasn't meant to be about whether he will have a job next year or the year after.

This is meant for people to say it as they see it.

IS TW the right man for the Job.

YES/NO

oh well - still surprising me he has this much support, going by the board these days.

The question is a little ambiguous though U2 because of the word 'beyond' in your original question.
How long is a piece of string?

I think most people would suggest he's the right man for the job hence the favourable results.
Whether he'll see out his contract with us is the real unanswered question.
