Sunday Herald sun votes a disgrace.

Maybe Sheedy was right, Essendon were the better side and we didn't deserve to win.

Did he say that L2R or are you reading his mind? Funny cos it wouldn't suprise me if he did have some sour grapes.

Better to have an even spread of 21 players plus Richo than have 4 or 5 standouts and the rest not pull their weight. We won and it was well deserved no matter who got the votes. Onya Tiges.

He said Essendon should have won the game, I'm just reading between the lines. The again, perhaps Sheeds was implying that Bradley would have been moved before quarter time if the match had been a final.

I think Mark Harding has just read the figures on the stats sheet: "OK, Richo was clearly BOG, who were the next four best ballwinners?"

Pettifer with 26 disposals and 3 goals didnt get a vote but 4 bummber players got in ahead of him and simmonds also. What a joke.  >:(

I wouldn't give Kayne a vote either and I bet he got a decent rocket at half time to get him going.  He only had 4 touches in the first half and didn't lay a tackle for the entire game.

Which means he had 22 possessions in the second half. Phenominal. Shows he has got the kids when he applies himself. Heard got votes for a half of footy, why not Petts? (and Im not suggesting Petts is half the player Heard is by the way)

Where do you get the stats for that? It says in the H/S stats that he had 11 kicks and 4 handballs for the game.

Probably reading the 11 kicks and then colum for total disposals (15) which'd add up to 26. Not having a tackle for a game though doesn't exactly mean you've played a bad game.

If it does, Hird shouldn't have got a vote, neither should Simmonds. Raines played in the back line, and didn't get one.
Lovett-Murray had 21 touches, and kicked 2 g 3 b.

I think the one reason that Pettifer shouldn't get a vote however, is because he told the umpire to Get a truck, and gave away a stupid 50m penalty.

I'd still give him a vote. His stats were pretty good.

Yeah he did but reckon that's just Sheedy BS. That man is the king of crap. From my reading between the lines he said that Bummers would have won the match but he felt is was more valuable for Bummers to lose and give Bradley the experience on Richo than to make a change and win the match. You could read it as the man talking rubbish again or maybe Sheedy is tanking for higher draft picks. He wouldn't do that, would he? He's the only guy who would tank and the come out and bag others for tanking to deflect away from his own tanking, telling everyone that he isn't tanking while he obviously is

... or am I talking like Sheedy? :crazy

... or did we win the game and Bummers didn't because we we the better team?

Somebody won and somebody lost and whoever the LOSER was it wasn't us.

From memory Peverill was the only Bummer to get votes in the Age.
Whoever was supposed to be picking him up let him get too many uncontested possessions.
For most of the game Peverill was playing on Tuck. With the uglier one getting more of the pill, you can see why we got smashed in the middle. Our only hard in & under got beaten.

Yep fair enough, each to their own, but he didn't have 26 touches as you based your original comment on though.

Hird nearly won the game for them
Peverill was the best on baller - destroyed Tuck & Foley

Both deserved votes IMO

Richo won the game for us but should have kicked 10+ (poor kicking) - 9/5
Bummers could have pinched it had they kicked straight in the last qtr

Who do you think is better out of Fleming and Peverill. Interesting comparison someone threw up there i thought. I feel a poll coming on!!

Funny how whenever we lose and we don't kick straight, people say we've played badly and that's reflected in the votes. I agree peverill should have got votes, Hird maybe sneak in for one. He reminds me of when carey used to play a great 5 minutes and the media were saying how sensational he was etc and give him BOG

I simply can not stand Hird

what he said about richmond and campbell (last year)

I am glad he is playing next year
and I hope
I really hope that Hall lay's him out and richmond beat his soft side twice again!!

and yes the votes for this games is/was an disgrace

Given that Peverill has played 114 games (incl. 6 finals) and is in his sixth season compared to Fleming's 34 in two seasons, I don't think there's much doubt who has been the better player.
