PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Was lucky enough to be at the G to watch the nail biter. Even luckier to get down into the swans rooms about an hour after the match. A nicer bunch of blokes you couldn't meet. No arrogance or aloofness at all amongst them. Most just had a very relieved look about them. They were very humble and happily went about signing records and talking to supporters. I managed to have a brief word with a couple of them whilst getting some autographs for my nephew. Craig Bolton was particularly impressive, I listened in while he was doing a media interview and he spoke and presented very well. When I got to speak to him, I asked him about leaving the Lions. He felt that the win had vindicated his decision to seek opportunities elsewhere. Jarrod Crouch and Brett Kirk were humble and soft spoken, very relieved to have won and put it down to 22 committed players. Best of all, while getting Nick Davis' autograph, I said to him "stuff the pies eh". No answer - just a big grin. All in all a fantastic experience.
