Leys surely You laid off??

Me and a mate had Sydney going for $36k (very small porition mine)

we ended up having $18k on WC as a lay off. Won $ 14K either way!
Still p!ssed Sydney didn't win!

Yeah Blood I did for some so was still a small profit, I thought Sydney were still a better bet so still left a fair cushion on them winning.... :'(

Well jb had the Swans going for minor truckload too and only layed off to cover outlayed stake.

To make matters worse had the same scenario with the Storm.

Who'd be a punter - mugs game.

As I recently spent 6 years of my life living in Perth I have a deep-seated & real hatred of WCE. (They are behind only Carlton)

Stay 10 years and Carlton moves in front.

Amazing game, in terms of being weird rather than inspiring. Blight summed it up, West Coast were the better side but Sydney probably should have won. Think about what a strange comment that is. I still think West Coast’s forward line is just as hopeless as their midfield is brilliant. The goals by their big forwards were only through gift-wrapped platinum delivery, usually by Kerr who was my BOG. I reckon his disposal is as good as I’ve seen by anyone, ever.

For all the West Coast dominance in the first half, Sydney were still in touch and with some straighter kicking could easily have been 3 or 4 goals closer. Unbelievable. Considering how good their midfield and backline is, they just don’t kick many goals. Obviously, to make a dynasty, which they really should with that midfield, they need to find a key forward and a small forward. If they persevere with Lynch they’ll continue in the same vein as now, he’s just not much good. Hansen is serviceable but that’s all.

My favourite post Grand Final story is Beau Waters eating Adam Hunters goldfish on Sunday nite.

And even better was Adam Hunter's reply;

"Right now, I'd like to say something inspirational, but that's not really me, so I'll just give you a line by Keanu Reeves in The Replacements," he said. 'Pain heals, chicks dig scars and glory lasts forever.' "

Magic. That is what winning a flag is all about, eating goldfish and quoting Keanu Reeves.
