Sydney Stack

Any chance he will captain the side this week. He is the only player we have that knows how to play.

Keep him away from our prized possession

The more angles Stackman hears about winning brownlows from, the easier it will be when he does.

I have a very soft spot for Cuz.

I really hope he finds peace

Same here easy. He gave us a good service through the early years of our boys and for sure great mentoring. I don't like drug addicts but Cuz is a different story to me.

I met Cuz a few times and have been out with him socially. My mate was his paid minder when he was at Tigerland.
Terrific fella but not sure he’s out of the woods yet. Addicts can’t be trusted with valuables.
Sincerely hope he’s going ok.

I remember the calls on PRE to make cuz mid field/ mentor coach. *smile* laughable
We will never know full story but he was punted as far away from the club as possible.
Feel sorry for his kid and family, not him.

I remember reports of him connors mcguane and someone else having a punch up in a hotel in Sydney.
I doubt that dusty was far away.
I think it led to Astbury debut.

I think we may have let Cousins down. Don’t really know but unless he was using during his time at the club, the decision to let him go (rather than put him on staff to continue in a Hodge like role), immediately made him vulnerable.

Geez! He disappeared for three qtrs of an hour during his job interview with us to get a massive face full of noms. Cuz was well and truly *smile* up long before he got to Tigerland, hope that he may finally have got himself sorted out now, but I doubt he'll ever get much ahead of hanging at the edge of self destruction.

Has since been reported a number of times that Cousins was using while at Richmond. The time when he ended up in hospital was drug related. One of the dumbest, most irresponsible decisions I’ve seen the RFC make bringing Cousins to the club. It’s a miracle it didn’t end worse.

Anyway, back on topic. Stack is going great but feel like the real challenges are still ahead for him.

Maybe we should've assigned him a 24/7 carer for the duration of his retirement.

I don't. I hope his kids find peace. A junkie is a junkie. The further he can be away from our players, the better. Let him go annoy the West Coke players. He was with us for 5 seconds anyway.

It seems clear that he was using before he arrived and again immediately after he left.
While he was with us he would have been monitored closely by I think it was WADA at that time? I understand that only the player and club Doc were privy to testing results. And those results were meant to be confidential.
The rest is speculation.

People are so silly the way they talk about drug users. I think its the most spoken about topic by people that have no idea what they're talking about.
Why do we need to keep a super star away from our club?
Being a junkie isn't contagious, and there is no way a junkie is going to give away they're drugs to try and lure someone to the dark side.
He was an absolute champion and should be encouraged to mentor young people when it comes to footy.

Just watching the welcome to country ceremony on the rfc site, and Sydney seems like such a nice kid, rapt to have him at our club.

He let himself down
