Hello fellow tiger fans. This is my first ever post after being a long time reader of PRE.
Apart from how deeply disappointed (also read angry, frustrated, saddened) I am with how our club just cannot seem to move forward in any real way there is another equally disturbing situation that has arisen this year.
Who the hell decided to take the Yellow and Black out of our theme song??!!
I have noticed it both times after our wins at the 'G and then went back to see (and listen) to the end of the Freo game...and sure enough - it had gone from there as well.
I can only begin to tell you how very angry and frustrated I am with this. I HATE IT, I HATE IT, I HATE IT.
Does anyone else?
Whoever thought this was a good idea should think again. You have killed the very best part of the whole song.
We love singing ALONG with "Yellow and Black". It is such a huge cresendo when we sing along WITH it, not IN PLACE of it. The shoddy amaturish cutting off does nothing but make the best part of the song lose all its nerve tingling magnificence.
It is so so disappointing to me - I have never really been on a crusade before but this is it for me!!
Maybe my fellow tigers out there quite like it or don't really have an opinion? I'm not sure and posting here is one way for me to find out. I have committed myself to getting our song back the way it should be...should there be support for such.
P.s. If no one agrees with me, I'll accept this and pull my head in.
