Just a cute story really. We were at a friends house yesterday, talking about footy when our friend said to my five year old daughter he had a red and black jumper for her. She promptly put an L to her forehead and said"Bombers are losers, go the tigers". Talk about brainwashed. Also my two daughters favourite song to sing on singstar is "Eye of the Tiger".

Good work rfc4me. That's a cute story. My daughter is a Tiger but my 2 boys took a different path (and have seen their teams win premierships in colour on telly :hihi )

My brother in law is a mad Essendon fan and has been trying to convince my 6yo son to barrack for Essendon for the past year. I got my own back when he and my sister recently went on holiday. I had a Richmond doorbell installed at their house (with my sister's permission). She told him that if he removes the doorbell that she will remove all his Essendon memorabilia from the house. (She follows the Tiges but is not passionate about them).

He absolutely detests the doorbell and now refuses to answer the door. Of course I take great pleasure ringing it multiple times every time we visit ;D

I took my 3yr old son to the park the other day over here in Thailand. He saw a butterfly and it happened to be yellow and black.

'Look Dad a Richmond Butterfly!'

That's my boy. ;)

Where does one buy such a doorbell?

After about our fourh bad season in a row my son asked "can I change teams?" I just looked at him and said "Sure but don't ever expect me to take you to the footy again!"
By the look on my face he knew I was serious and never bought it up again.
That was about 5 or 6 years ago and he hasn't missed a game since :)

pretty sure you can get them from kmart.

and the richmond club shop sells them too.

click on "accessories" on the left and then "homewares".

Fatherly advice? Poor young fella. ;D He'll thank you for it, no doubt, when we start to kick some ...in the near future, it'll all be worth the wait.

I tried the club website but they were not listed there. My wife picked it up for me at the AFL shop in Southland. It has 3 settings. 1. We are from Tigerland, 2. Up there Cazaly and 3. A siren with fans cheering. It was just over $30.

Fortunately he has not discovered the other settings yet. :hihi

Let's hope so!!! I'm starting to think I'll get arrested for child abuse if I put him (and his two siblings) through much more!! :)

Hang in there premiers TG has been abusing me for fifteen long years ( she didn't know any better the first few years ) for making her a Tiger. She even throws stuff at me when I tell her about all them premierships we won back in the dim dark ages when I was a kid and not a fossil.
Kids toughen up after a while and even start to enjoy the suffering and misery.
