Talking Politics

Anne Rutson is little Scottys pick for Health Minister ...

She who said, “Giving [people] more money would do absolutely nothing ... probably all it would do is give drug dealers more money and give pubs more money”

And, "There's no such thing as poverty".

How can you run a country when you can't differentiate between the house and a press gallery...

That's what the Murdoch press would be writing for tomorrows print if this was Albo. But it's not so we won't hear anything about it.

He has an arrogance in how he is batting away the questions he doesn't want. It's the arrogance of a man that feels safe, probably in the knowledge that the MSM will do his bidding for him and not give it too much attention.

Had probably been to church beforehand, they speak in tongues there.

Albo will bottle this. Only good at appealing to rusted on ALP voters. What has he done to swing the voters? Nothing. Hoping a dislike ScoMo strategy will be enough.

It should be enough but the ALP won't take any risks at all.

ScoMo keeps raving and making up lies about what the ALP will do, but the reality is neither major party has any plan for the future.

This election is a joke, and for a real laugh the Clive Palmer party are claiming they can do all sorts of things which are well out of the control of the government.

Sadly it's been that way for bloody years, aside from the rare n occasional worthy n belated policy about 95% of politics is about how good are we, how *smile* are our opposition n look how much ( of your ............ssshhhh ) money we're gunna throw at irrelevant garbage.

Ann Ruston would be a disaster as Health Minister.

We gave learned lots of things during the pandemic but one of them is the incredible waste that is caused by the commonwealth and states arguing about who pays. What we need is a commonwealth health Minister who is prepared to work for a cooperation between the states and the feds on the things that are grey in the system. Hunt was combative, working directly from the Morrison playbook of when they don’t want to do anything or pay for something just blame the states.

The states are not blameless but Ann Ruston is straight out of that mould as well. She won’t be a reformer, a negotiator or a pragmatist. It will be cost shifting games and blame the states and none of the grey will get fixed.

the ABC are quite bizarre, they're worried about something.. and appear to favour the Coalition
Sure is concerning. They're still going on about Albo not knowing a figure a week later but Morrison not even realising where he is or who he's talking to was completely ignored.
Why? Who is covering for him with this obvious editorial decision?

Newspoll out tonight has Labour still ahead 53-47. That is landside territory. Particularly if the likes of Frydenberg get rolled in Melb/Syd by the independents.

Media coverage for the past week has been a disgrace. Bunch of imbeciles. No wonder platforms such as Twitter have such huge influence now where people can be heard, not have to listen to agenda-driven journalists.

Finally a day later buried deep in an article the ABC puts out an article about Morrison's 'Mr Speaker' gaffes on the back of another mistake re job seeker payments.
