Yes, I was surprised by your lack of mathematical dexterity in this instance .... I'm sure I've seen you post in the horsy/punting/dapto dogs/betting threads. ..
If it continues, you'll need another belt to prevent the bookies from pulling ya pants down!

You think Frydenberg is feeling the pressure? His new version of billboards below. "Keep Josh"

View attachment 15262
I have posted before that I live in Kooyong. There has been a massive grass roots movement to get him out going back 18 months at least, before Monique Ryan came along. There has been “Vote Josh out” merchandise around for all that time. “Keep Josh” would be a counter to that. The argument that she is a puppet of Holmes a’ Court is nonsense, there was plenty of money and momentum in that campaign before he came along.

He is getting desperate but in all he says he never actually addresses the key platforms of Monique Ryan which is climate change action, integrity in Government and a federal ICAC, investment in science and research, diversity & inclusion and more action in aged care and the NDIS. He chooses instead to denigrate her as a candidate. Don’t let Josh fool you, he is just a slightly more pleasant Scott Morrison.

Despite all that I would say it’s 75-25 he retains the seat

Unfortunately the betting odds suggest he'll still hold onto his seat. Wish I still lived in Kooyong so I could have another chance to boot him out.

Yeah, the odds have Frydenberg well in front. Shame that the rest of Australia can't have a say in Kooyong seeing Frydenberg is campaigning as the Federal Treasurer.

But in Goldstein Wilson and Zoe Daniel are even. In NSW Steggall has it in the bag, Sharma is behind Spender.

The New Liberals lost a lot of momentum coming into this election and really aren't getting any mention at all. The Teal Independents have taken the space Victor Kline was aiming for.

If the ALP wants to win, it's best they get rid of Rockstar Albo and put Clare as leader.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

ALP should buy the rights to this clip and just air it on all media outlets. Many brilliant lines, but none better than "Australien Government, Putting the N back in CUTS"

Kooyong will be closer than Goldstein IMO.

That is critical, it seems that in Kooyong there has been a fair movement to toss out the Libs who just take the seat for granted.

In Goldstein where I am the campaign against Wilson doesn't seem to have been going for so long, maybe I just didn't notice. But, the Libs are clearly very worried as there are ads and signs everywhere. I even saw an ad specifically for Tim Wilson on a podcast I was listening to. Wilson is campaigning with the slogan "Proven Local Delivery" which may well backfire as he has been invisible until this election. I really don't know why they have Wilson as a candidate in this safe seat, he isn't a minister (junior minister I think, definitely not in cabinet) and doesn't look like becoming a minister. You don't waste a safe seat on a talentless nobody like Tim Wilson. His only issue of note is gay rights and yet he voted against gay marriage until there was a referendum. Waste of space really.

Wilson is still favoured to win but the Libs are certainly having to put time, effort and funds into Goldstein to hold the seat. Hope he goes, but, Brighton, what do you want? Mind you, a lot of houses close to sea level, although I figure they assume, not without reason, that if sea level rise floods their multi-million dollar houses in the golden mile there will be a lot of government bail out finds for them.

Wilson is IPA's member of parliament.

Trust me, they have way more than 1 MP.

What really p!sses me off about the LNP and the IPA is the way the IPA can put out outlandish right-wing policies which are designed to shift the agenda and make the LNP look less extreme, but anyone does the same on the left and they are labelled extreme by the apparently left-leaning media.

I hear tonight's ABC News included a great big ad for Frydenburg, seems the right is taking over our Aunty now too.

Latest Newspoll remains steady at 53/47 TPP, but the Liberals primary vote is down.

Even Resolve Strategic (the dodgy pollster who has close links to Scott Morrison) has TPP at 54/46.

One thing that’s interesting to note (but not getting any media) is that the Greens primary vote, which usually hovers around the 8-10% mark has been consistently getting around the 14-15% mark in all of these polls.

Unfortunately the betting odds suggest he'll still hold onto his seat. Wish I still lived in Kooyong so I could have another chance to boot him out.

i got $2.65 for an independent to win Kooyong 2 months ago and $2.20 for Goldstein. Now its $2.10 for an independent to win both Kooyong and Goldstein.

I'm not sure why you think Josh has any chance to retain Kooyong. Monique Ryan internal polling from 2 weeks ago had her at 59/41 TPP. Of course, it’s easy to be sceptical of internal polling of yourself, but even if its out by 5-6%. She’s still comfortably ahead.

The massive Herald Scum puff piece yesterday is all the evidence you need to know how screwed they think he is.

An interesting sidenote to this is Ted Baillieu’s son is heavily campaigning for Dr Ryan.

The zingers are one thing but I love how he handles the media. Definite leadership potential.
As an aside if my memory serves me correctly he was the federal minister who was involved in the sanctions relating to the Essendrugs affair? I am pretty sure he was involved in press conferences around it
