That is critical, it seems that in Kooyong there has been a fair movement to toss out the Libs who just take the seat for granted.
In Goldstein where I am the campaign against Wilson doesn't seem to have been going for so long, maybe I just didn't notice. But, the Libs are clearly very worried as there are ads and signs everywhere. I even saw an ad specifically for Tim Wilson on a podcast I was listening to. Wilson is campaigning with the slogan "Proven Local Delivery" which may well backfire as he has been invisible until this election. I really don't know why they have Wilson as a candidate in this safe seat, he isn't a minister (junior minister I think, definitely not in cabinet) and doesn't look like becoming a minister. You don't waste a safe seat on a talentless nobody like Tim Wilson. His only issue of note is gay rights and yet he voted against gay marriage until there was a referendum. Waste of space really.
Wilson is still favoured to win but the Libs are certainly having to put time, effort and funds into Goldstein to hold the seat. Hope he goes, but, Brighton, what do you want? Mind you, a lot of houses close to sea level, although I figure they assume, not without reason, that if sea level rise floods their multi-million dollar houses in the golden mile there will be a lot of government bail out finds for them.
