If the LNP, who are overtly and arrogantly opposing a $1 an hour pay rise for the poorest workers doing the toughest jobs,

don't absolutely obliterated at this election,

then Australians deserve low wages, rent-for-life, *smile* healthcare and education, a corrupt political system and a *smile* planet.

the good thing about climate change,

is it'll kill the rich too.

slower, yes, but it'll still kill them and their offspring.

but at least we know we deserve those things. what if we deserve worse under Labor? it is the unknown we should be afraid of (according to some.)

and being scared to run outside

This is meant to be a Libs ad. I watched it and all I am left with is ScuMo saying "It's not my job". I really don't know what they were trying to achieve..

They're trying to prove they can debunk the truth.

unfortunately, it clashes with the dreamtime game :mhihi

i really wanted to watch the car crash.

I'm still trying to decide whether to go to Dreamtime, I have the ticket as it cost nothing (Roaming Tiger seat) and hate missing Dreamtime, but my daughter is having an election party. Of course, not hard to get to her place from the footy . . . hmm.

Anyway, another day, another leaflet in the mail box, this was the scary independents and chaotic hung parliament version. Wow, this in an electorate where we barely get anything normally. Wilson is looking very worried :rotfl2

Wow, that Liberal ad above, smacks of desperation. They are really afraid of losing too, makes you wonder what they know the next government will uncover.

I see a lot of political boffins, whom I rate, saying that seat-by-seat polling shouldn’t be trusted.

Why is this?

It’s a genuine question.

If you poll, say, 1000 people in an electorate of 100k, why is that less value than a poll of, say, 1400, nationally?

If you apply the same weighting metrics, how is it so different?

This ain’t my wheelhouse, but what am I missing here?

The major parties do seat-by-seat polling and that’s how they allocate resources.

Again, genuine question, what am I missing?
this doesn't really directly answer your question but is a pretty deep dive into polls and what to make of them

News Ltd calling a loss for Josh is a sign of desperation in the hopes people who toyed with the idea with voting Teal to send Josh a message may decide it's not worth the risk.

Downer was out in Kooyong, campaigning for Josh. Is there a bigger sign of fear than that?

its really all the libs have got tho. "we are a rubbish government but things could be worse".
Their other argument in some seats is "you may not want a Lib government but if you dont vote in the (relatively) "moderate" libs, the right wing nut jobs in the party will take over.

one could easily be mistaken for thinking the Libs dont think they are actually any good at running the country (which may be the 1st thing they have got right since the last election).

The Australian will always spin things in a way to help the Liberals. Their numbers point towards Labor winning 80 seats and Monique Ryan winning Kooyong on 52/48 TPP. These are unders and they know it. They are hoping people thinking it’s a tight race may convince some into voting for the status quo. It won’t work, but that’s probably the strategy behind the poll.

The poll sample numbers are not legit anyway. We’re only talking about 125 per electorate, whereas the known pollsters sample 1,000-1,500 people.

Downer, “the things that batter.”

If ever there’s someone born with a silver spoon in the mouth, it’s that self entitled prick.
