Talking Politics

Good questions from the abc panel to the liberal senator. Crabbe is not pulling any punches.

Chalmers looks like he can’t wait to get to the bar.

Shame Bridget Archer is looking like losing her seat. She seemed like the only decent Liberal they had.

The biggest misread by pollsters was that the on-the-noseness of the state government in Victoria would hurt Labour federally. As if Victoria would swing to Trumpism.

Who'd want to be the new leader of the opposition, because with Labor's increased majority Labor win the 2028 election.

This is the result we needed. Labor simply must be emboldened and have the courage to make long-overdue reforms.

I think they went softly-softly these last three years - and disappointed a lot on the Left - because they didn't want to scare the horses. The first job of a government is to get re-elected. Now, as @tigerman says, they should be confident of holding government in 2028, and that will allow them to get more ambitious in their agenda.

Its a figure of speech stop being so literal.
Nice try. If Dutton ever said anything like that you’d be the first to lay the boots in, (another figure of speech) But in the euphoria of victory I can appreciate you got carried away, so I withdraw any imputation that you meant it in reality. Enjoy your victory party. I do when I back any winner.

I hope so, but i fear that all.major parties will be beholden to the global oligarchy. Gina and Rupert will still get what they want.

Bill Burr is saying billionaires should be put down like rabid dogs. Bezos is donating most of his wealth. The tide is turning.
