doesn't really matter who the ring master is, the same old clowns are running the circus

True enough, the main thing is that Abbott's man, and therefore Abbott himself got their arse kicked :clap

At least Abbott has spoken like a statesman.

"We have lost the Prime Minister but there is still a government to save. That's what all of us will do our best to do now, to save the government. Because, as we have just been reminding ourselves, we are the custodians of great political traditions – the liberal tradition of smaller government, greater freedom, lower taxes, the conservative tradition of support for families, small business and values and institutions that have stood the test of time, but above all else we are patriots. We want to make our country as strong and as good as it possibly can be, based on the wonderful achievements we already have to our name."

Over to you, Scotty. Impress me.

Abbott never acted like one. Action's not words count.

Can we get rid of Buttonhead now? Export him to Pommyland.

Dusty is surely having a good day today.....

He had an image issue and leftist media tore him apart. Although I wanted Dutton, with his undertaker's countenance he probably would've gone the same way.

You can't be serious Abbott just had an image issue? He did nothing but white ant the minute he was replaced. A statesman? Please. He's no better than the likes of Rudd in behaviour.

I said he spoke like one. Stated the party line clearly. Who in their right mind votes for big government and higher taxes except people who expect the government to support them?

LOL, Abbott can only blame Abbott, he had Newscorp, 2GB, Sky News & Gina Rinehart propping him up. Tony's problem is that he never stopped playing the opposition, and he's still desperate to play the wrecker. LNP RIP.

Abbott was a joke. He's a good opposition leader because all he focuses on is making life as hard as possible for the government, but as PM he was easily our worst ever.

*smile* Order of Australia for Prince Philip. What a *smile* *smile*.

Rather than be wreckers if Abbott and Dutton aren't happy with the direction of the Liberal Party they should **** off and join their mate Cory Bernardi and his new Australian Conservatives party.

It was a Knighthood he gave him, that's how out of touch Abbott was, a ****** Knighthood.

Gee - I wonder why and who could have been trying to knife for the better part of three years.

We want to make our country as strong and as good as it possibly can be, based on the wonderful achievements we already have to our name.

Is this bloke serious? All he ever cared about was himself. He's never done anything but destroy, and now he's destroyed the Liberal government that he should have put above his own narrow political ambitions.

if Morrison had any credibility he would call an election to obtain his own mandate. This is exactly what Gillard and Rudd did when their party voted them in. Turnbull didn't do this of course, so I'm not holding my breath.

One of the Lib members said that Turnbull has just given these guys olive branch after olive branch, with the end result they stuck it up his arse. For all his faults I think Turnbull is a talented man - but he squandered that talent absolutely in his term as PM. Purely focused on staying in power and as a result of appeasing the far Right got almost nothing done.

that much I agree with. but just watch him cause utter carnage within the Liberal party on his way out. get the popcorn ready.

I wonder how much this change of Prime Minister has cost the Australian tax payer. Parliament went into recess yesterday, so most MP's, apart from those that have Barnaby Joye's inclinations would have left Canberra last night.
The Aust public have had to foot the bill for last night's accommodation and all the fine dining and grog that they would have been swilled. A good few of them will probably back up again tonight, all on the Australian tax payers purse.

You can't really expect that when they're so far behind in the polls.

I thought the ALP called an early poll during the Rudd Gillard knife throwing performance.

Exactly.
