Talking Politics

There is a clear choice this election. Either we turf a bunch of cynical, corrupt, dumb, short-sighted servants to mega-wealthy puppet masters, or we continue to bend over and get pounded. You might not like the Labor Party but it is hard for an intelligent person to deny there is far more talent on that side of the aisle - and better intentions. I'd argue it's always that way - what talented right-leaning person would go into politics? - they go into business, finance or law and make a motza. The conservative parties are left with the dregs. Morrison, Frydenberg, Dutton, Abbott, Joyce. These people are morons. Cynical, dopey, sellout sh!teaters serving the greedy interests that more than half of them will go on to officially work for when they are finally kicked out.

I'm no Bill Shorten fan, but I can't wait until he's PM.
Was that you spook throwing the egg that didn't break? Not very nice tiger, much like this "trash talk". Why is there so much anger and hatred talk coming from those who think they support the views of the left? I don't get it. Mixed messages.

speaking of morons... i love how a man who believes the universe is 6 thousand years old, brings a chunk of rock to parliament that is milion of years old, and tells us how good it is. if that isn't the height of stupidity, i don't know what is. then and after that occured, they made this man PM. you can't make this sh!t up if you tried.

The thing I'm gonna enjoy the most about the election next week is when inept pollies such as Abbott and Dutton are booted out of their own seat. These spuds have forfeited the right to ever be part of a sitting government again.

as for Shorten, many people don't like him. But its as clear as day that he's more likely to give the people a fairer go than the incumbents, who's vested interests are put ahead of the people. the ACTU has been pushing a "change the rules" campaign, and it is so desperartely needed. profit sharing is at its lowest in 50 years. penalty rate cuts. ultra low wage growth. electricity prices through the roof. corruption in the banking sector. big business paying little or no tax. 3 million people living in poverty in a country as rich as ours, where poverty should not exist. racists being given a public platform to spew their hate. its shameful what this country has become and we desperately need things to change.

Lets not forget The Nationals have pretty much killed The Murray River.

It is a fallacy that they all have union backgrounds. According to below only around a 1/3 do from recent statistics. It is actually the LNP that has more MP's that were political staffers or party officials. See below.

How funny is it when someone draws a Hitler moustache on frydenburg. What a laugh, hey. It's ok though because, well the left are untouchable and beyond wrong doing.

It was not me, HR. The anger comes from watching this incompetent bunch of cynical sellouts *smile* away our nation's future, transfer wealth to the mega rich and corporations, serve miners and Murdoch, ignore and even ridicule the greatest existential threat man has faced since the last Ice Age, bully and demonise the powerless, lie, enrich their mates with the public dollar, and are so disingenuous and smug about the whole thing.

As for "trash talk", I gotta go with J. Billington Bulworth on that one. Obscenity? Well, *smile*, *smile*, *smile*, *smile*, the obscenity here is how willing these unaccountable traitors have been to buttfuck our country, our land, our children and our future. Obscenity! Pah!

By the way, I am on the left on many things, but not in unthinking lockstep. I'm not a fan of identity politics (both sides do this). I believe in unions protecting workers' rights, but I don't believe people have the right to a job for life in uncompetitive or outdated industries. I believe in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, but the LNP doesn't. They run protection rackets for established wealth, taking money from coal miners and oil companies instead of encouraging new wealth in solar power and electric vehicles. They gave billions to foreign-owned automotive manufacturers to bribe them to stay, and they left anyway. Why did they not do what Obama did and say, this money is an investment in your company, we're a shareholder now - the US people got their money back quick-smart, and they still have an auto industry.

I don't hate anyone, but I do hate what this incompetent, corrupt bunch of cynical bullies have done to our country. *smile* them, and good riddance.

Oh, the coal. If you needed any evidence our nightwatchman PM is a smug *smile*, look no further. What a stupid, arrogant piece of ignorant, out of touch grandstanding that stunt was.

10 more days, Ian.

How many of those people were coming here because the word was out that Howard and Costello had given juveniles, junkies and families that like to have a dozen or more children $6000 for every child they had.

The end result is that there is massive shortage of foster families for unwanted children, kids are roaming the streets, crime gets worse and worse. More and more families, a lot are single parent families have got their hands out for financial support. A lot of them don't work, and the good old taxpayer is footing the bill.

I can't think of a worse government policy, but hey, anything to win an election.

Perhaps we should have given out cash bonuses as an incentive, if such people volunteered to be sterilised? Would such a policy have saved the taxpayer long term? ;)

This is the worst extrapolation I’ve ever read.

Narcissistic, social media driven culture of self-indulgence. "Look at me, look at me......."

I'm tempted to say that it shouldn't be voluntary ;)

On that whole theme though. Sure, a lot of blame often gets aimed at these women who punch out 10 kids to 7 different fathers and live on the taxpayer for the rest of their life (as do their 10 kids). But I equally lay blame on these "man-children" who never grow up, man up, become a fully fledged adult and take responsibility for raising the children/family they have created.

Acting like a stray neighbourhood dog roaming, impregnating multiple women, before the last bed is even cooled down.

I had an old school, reasonably conservative upbringing. And like my grandfather said to me. "Any idiot can get a woman pregnant. It takes a man to stand by her, provide for and raise that family." But hey, when selfish hedonism rules the day in our society, combined with the denigration and undermining of the concept of personal responsibility for actions, we reap what we sow.

I dunno blaming Labor for boat people deaths is pretty bad.
Hey Ian have you been reading this thread? Probably only 2 out of three posts if your reply is anything to go by. Maybe the deaths cuts close to the bone tiger, but they were definately policy driven deaths and no amount of climate change blaming is going to change this history.

Too true.

I could almost be swayed that there's a need for Natural Selection or the like. Too many kids are born with out a chance in life because of a lack of a role model/s in their parents. Parenthood is the most important job anyone will ever do, it's a pity that so many don't take the responsibility seriously.

Fair to say, I'm right of you socially, although I agree with much of what you say on "Pauline Hanson's Ignorant Racist Party, Corey Bernardi's Malicious Xenophobes, Fraser Anning's Fascist *smile*wits, or Clive Palmer's Divide Australia And Don't Pay Your Workers Criminal Swindle." That said, left-wing cultural marxist candidates in the Greens (and any from the ALP-left faction engaging in similar) will be placed in the same mix as the above right wing *smile* whits on my ballot.
Great call on the greens although I would have liked a left anger title for them from the original poster but obviously they support the greens blindly.

Penny Wong refusing to shake Simon Birmingham’s hand after a piece on the ABC tv with 4 senators.

I’ll await the outcry of her sexist behaviour......

Penny Wong is a good sport isn't she! What a great example of how to be an adult and act maturely.
Wonder what she will be like when China doesn't give her what she wants, dummy spit.

Following on from my recent comments about Denmark. Election just announced for June 5. There are 13 parties on the ballot.
Three of them are far right including this idiot who would probably have me deported despite being married to a Danish citizen, father of two others, and 28 years of full time work and tax paying at rates well over 50%:
