I know most around here want Abbott out and I don’t care much for him either. But attacks like this are a disgrace. More footage is doing the rounds show Liberal voting material getting defaced. It’s time Labor got Get Up to pull their head in and control their antics.

I missed the bit about Get Up in that article.

Is it true that the person charged with assault was of middle Eastern appearance?

Not sure who was charged I will need to read more on the subject.

On social media there are videos showing that Get Up are using tactics that should be condemned. But all tactics good as long as Labor win?

Social Media is great for filtered news. Are you sure you're seeing GetUp tactics or Captain GetUp tactics?

Captain GetUp is about as lame as bloody Clive Palmer. Ever who is behind that is embarrassing.

What election promise are you looking forward to most once Labor win tonight?

I love their promise of the fast train from Melbourne to Brisbane, via ACT and Sydney. Even though I may never use it I like major infrastructure projects, that create growth and have positive impacts on communities.

I would also love the ALP to match the Libs commitment of a fast train between Geelong and Melbourne. This I will use on a regular basis if implemented.

The local Government are already looking into this.

I've really hated this election. All this money spent on political advertising and I have to go searching for most of the info of what parties stand for.

Pretty much all of the labour and libs campaigning has been negative and why you shouldn't vote for the other one, not about why we should vote for them.

Ironic that bar one advert (that has been played relentlessly) the UAP have been the ones to state their policies the most on tv advertising, however crazy that is.

Seems to me we will have a hung parliament which is not good, more power to the far left and far right parties. I'm not overly aligned with either of the major parties, but there certainly seems a swing to the left by labour has probably pushed away some swing voters IMO. Lies (and they didn't need to lie) around the reason for going forward with renewable energy and stating that was for lowering energy bills (it won't do that), ironic that they could have just told the truth and said it was for the environment and probably would have gained more. I also dislike the changes to investment / negative gearing, I agree that things should change but feel they have gone the complete wrong direction on this. If this is truly to help first home owners then why not remove stamp duties for first home owners, but that would need funding and they don't have ideas for that. Feel its disingenuous to suggest that this won't reduce house prices, I've owned before but don't at the moment, so it may work well for me, but personally think its the wrong move, better ways to deal with changes in negative gearing, largely by focusing on those individuals that have significant numbers of investment properties, not those with the odd one but are paid well.

Id Dutton and Abbott are voted out then I'm not too fussed at who wins. Those two being ditched should wake the Libs up and bring them back from the far right.

I wont the Libs kicked to the kerb, but if Abbott and Dutton get their arses kicked it will ease the pain.

Dutton is a grub, he even looks sly.

Labor getting nowhere in this campaign. This was theirs to lose and it looks like they are going to. Real indictment on Bill Shorten who no-one wanted but no-one in the ALP would move against. Some questionable choices for their major policies and it seems these issues will lead to the ALP losing the unloseable election.

Yep, looking bad for the ALP. QLD has swung heavily to the Libs and the swing in Victoria not looking strong enough. Although I hate the way Morrison has campaigned on a small target, looks like it has paid off.

Yep. How does this work? Even the Libs whinging about their party and yet they still have enough votes to keep ScoMo in.

Shorten was always as weak as *smile*. Get someone as strong as the late Bob Hawke to lead!!

I've been surprised all along that no-one moved against Shorten. Has never even been close in the preferred PM discussions, always been a distant loser. Were labor too arrogant to think it wouldn't matter or was the party too weak to make the right move for their party. Either way, it looks really poor for their party, either weak or arrogant.
