Interesting times.
Morrison has been good for NewsCorp. Very good. We all know the primary objective of the coalition is to shovel as much money into the top end of town as quickly as possible until it all inevitably comes undone by some pesky social issue that won’t go away. Morrison has, until a month ago, shown a remarkable ability to shape shift away from utter disasters and pretend nothing ever happened.
This is mana from heaven for Murdoch and others with vested interests.
But Scotty won’t be able to sustain his toadish elasticity through another election. He outed himself as deaf to women and the silent blade will come.
Problem for Labor (a party I have a lot of affection for) is that Albanese is a spent force. He would’ve been great 15 years ago but it wasn’t to be. Now he’s just an insipid middle-aged man.
The coalition is there for the mauling. Small target Albo might well be enough, but the ALP should be looking to smash the oppo and thus shore up the next election too.

Nothing inspires me here. Drain the swamp both sides.
I would love for the tax department along with forensic accountants to do a full audit on each MP and their families. Until they are held anyway accountable along with their senior advisors nothing will change.
For example Penny Wong many claim owns water entitlements, along with many other politicians that don’t have to declare it in their asset position
I’m disappointed and honestly not surprised of the events of Canberra and probably most state parliaments. When there are low standards and zero accountability we get this crap.
Will be voting independent next election and beyond.

I haven't seen 7:30 for a while, but i like Sales, and the fact Morrison refuses to be interviewed by her, knocking back 13 invitations to appear, suggests she is not an Lib stooge.
and it is not telling anyone anything they dont know, but how weak is Morrison for not going on a show where he might actually be challenged, instead just appearing with his mates on talk back radio.
i said recently there were similarities between his time as PM and Trumps as prez. i think one thing i didn't state was that crisis just actually highlighted their major faults, like Trump, Morrison isn't doing anything differently than he always has, more people are just starting to see through his spin, lies and aggression.
Personally, I think it would be good to get footage of the allegations if it is available. The public need to be informed.

But I think Morrison's refusal has just been over the last month, coinciding with the flare-up of the Higgins rape allegations into a full bonfire re abuse of women in our parliament, Canberra and throughout society.
I agree she is an intelligent and capable journo who interviews strongly, but her partner is a Sydney property developer with likely links to NSW Libs. Not saying that it means you have the same views, values and commitments as a partner just because in a relationship. But she does seem to go easier on NSW state Lib scandals compared to other jurisdictions.
The really aggravating event for me was her turning up at Daniel Andrews' presser and taking it over with her questions, claiming she just happened to be stuck in town due to the snap Feb lockdown after flying in just for a birthday party, so just happened to wander over. Just doesn't wash. This smacked of a Murdoch media style plant a la Credlin and co.
When has she ever attended one of Gladys' pressers? Think that there has very, very good cause to be asking her some harsh questions about lots of her recent conduct and events re property deals!! (As far as I know, Dan hasn't been sleeping with a dubious politician known for her possibly corrupt land dealings but then claiming he had no idea. Poor little victim that I am).
As if the ABC has no Melb journos doing the job?
