Of course, where ever that may be, and in the way that it delivers the best economic outcome to you.

last time i checked not every failed academic can manual labour? to build or to be employed in the industry you need to be able to multi task.. this is not a skill anyone can just learn.Tiger74 said:Last time I checked its tough to outsource building a house to South Africa. There will always be jobs for those good with their hands.

i am listening t74. but ive have known thru my background a hell of a lot of dickheads that havent got the intellect/common sense to do any thing other than factory work.and there is no way on earth they would survive in the mining ind.Tiger74 said:I agree, Dad make his money on the tools, but you wanted to know what options are there for those who are not Rhodes Scholars. Building is the first that came to mind.
The next is transport.

so apart from the dole and generations of "guvvermint employees" how do we employ them? the same intellects that dissmiss our decline as manufactorers ,expect us to "improve" these people while they happily sell their jobs off shore? :headscratchTiger74 said:I know, and I definitely get where you are coming from.
The days of unskilled filling factories though have been dying for ages. Tech upgrades of factories now mean that not only less labour is needed, often it needs to be more skilled to get the job done.
Big generalization I know, but these kind of discussions are full of them![]()
