Talking Politics

I did involuntarily spit out my drink when I was watching the news last night. David Littleproud said with a straight face that Morrison “ has never lied”.
Not “ I have never heard him tell a lie” or “ he has never lied to me” but emphatically “ has never lied”

All the focus on Morrison lying will be interesting to see what the wider electorate think.
Largely most folks will think pollies always lie so will normally brush it off. Pollies will be pollies.

But its starting to become a thing. Will it hang on him like a stain?

its different I reckon. Most people think pollies exaggerate a bit, twist things to suit, maybe evade answering questions, or just get things wrong but not straight out cold blatant lying - and to each other.

Its like Hunt has been saying all week at aged care residents are 99% triple vaxed while everyone knows there were 80,000 still waiting - that’s not just being lazy with figures - the whole mob are blatantly at it in my view - trump has redefined the line which shouldn’t be crossed.

So Libs have officially shelved their three year old promise to create a federal anti-corruption commission, so they can concentrate on helping christians discriminate against school kids
what a surprise...

Yep, Bolt's begun the push already. I'm with the bloke on Twitter who said the Aussie public deserves the chance to vote Scotty out.

Morrison changed the rules after he knifed Turnbull to make it tougher to overthrow a Liberal leader, but many of his fellow carpetbaggers are facing electoral oblivion and we know how little the Libs care for rules, proper process or anything other than naked self-interest.

Doubt any of them would believe swapping #*smile* for #Boofhead would improve their chances of re-election.

they could swap Morrison out for a rabbit with myxomatosis,

and they'de improve their chances of re-election

Doubt any challenger could get the required 2/3 of the party room to agree to the motion.

like spook says,

if someone can convince 2/3 of them that their interests will be served,

they'll be like a bunch of ADHD kids at a burst piñata,

trying to vote someone new.

im calling it - DimSIm head PM for 34 days, then opposition leader by May

Not sure. Boofhead would appeal to the hard right. It's not the hard right that will decide the election, it's the groups closer to the centre, as always.

Maybe QLD but the Coalition blitzed Qld in the last election.

You should take the 1.70 on Sportsbet for Dutton to be next leader.

I think it's a matter of Boofhead appeals to those running the country, Murdoch media.
