Talking Politics

Never forget Robodebt, the true human cost of which will never really be known.

ScuMo, Porter, Robert, Payne, Abbott, Turnbull, Tudge etc should all hang their heads in shame.
As we know, they won't, they've never acknowledged it was illegal, never apologised & I doubt they ever will.

As has been said many times before on this thread, they are without doubt the worst LNP Governments this country has ever seen.

The other thing in regards to Stuart Robert is that every time SCOMO and Voldemort trot out comments about the ALP and China they should refer them to this

Things are getting bad when the head of ASIO gets on TV to correct the crap coming out of the Government's mouth about foreign influence in elections. Finished off by saying the current narrative is not helping.

Not saying you are wrong but out of interest was Robodebt under the Morrison Government or Turnbull ? I am not sure ?

Robodebt was first introduced by the Gillard Government but it was used to help manual cross-checking. It was under Turnbull that they changed it to a fully automated system without any manual cross-checking.

or when the Libs leased the Port of Darwin to a Chinese company...

Gladys sold Newcastle port to 50% Chinese company too

this yellow peril/reds under the beds ploy by LNP is contemptible.

reinforces unequivocally that they put their own interests firmly above the National interest.

completely corrupt *smile*

20% swing in progress in Gladys former seat, to an unknown independent who campaigned for a month.

thats not a swing to her, its a swing away from LNP.

If we can repeat that federally, we'll be rid of the corrupt LNP for a decade.

Morrison was the was the Social Services Minister when Robodebt was 1st proposed, it was introduced in 2016 when Turnbull was PM. It was supported by ScuMo, Porter, Tudge, Robert etc.

The libs are happy to be seen as hypocrites and playing politics with national security because at the moment it is taking up space that would otherwise be spent talking about all there other disasters. that is how bad this government is.

Labor should be running hard with "LNP are terrified of ICAC"

Even the dumbest of Australians understand, and dont tolerate, corruption with public money.

If you reduce it, as must be done in a modern democracy, even the oldest, dumbest, bozo, swinging voter in far western qld, or far western Sydney,

will choose a 'Chinese spy', over a 'lying crook' I reckon.

the bozo swinger IS NOT so dumb that they can't discern there is zero substance to the former and a lot of substance to the latter.

Labor need to fight back dirty, albeit with truth.

Pictures of Morrison, Cash and Taylor behind bars, crying 'But, But, it was a kangaroo court'

How could LNP possibly wedge Labor or spin their way out of it?

They promised a federal ICAC, then spent 4 years being corrupt, then are running down the clock so they dont have to keep their promise.

Its a bit of a No-Brainer line of attack

LNP = Corrupt Liars

Yep. Good article here highlighting that.

The ALP needs to set their own agenda and, as much as possible, ignore the crap being thrown at them. It is the government who have been in power for the last 7 or so years who need to be explaining their actions, not the opposition who have not been running the show.

This is not easy with the media overwhelmingly supporting the LNP, but they should be able to find at least a bit of space once the real election campaign starts.

Hammer them on their economic incompetence, corruption, incompetence and lack of any foresight on COVID, internal divisions, irresponsible divisiveness on national security, then, flip to some positives about what they can do better.

Have you considered the possibility that the ALP don't want one either?

Certainly a possibility, but a good chance to get one in early. If they hold Gov for 2 terms there's no way they they'd do it in the 2nd term.

ICAC might even decimate the opposition for a few years so they have imcentitives

But Albos left and his cabinet wong, keneally, Plibersek, burke etc
