So they won't use the disaster fund for a disaster and they were slow off the mark to get going with any assistance. Dutton says he won't hear of any criticism of the ADF contribution, sorry Voldemort, the criticism is not directed so much at the ADF personnel, it is directed at your government for the slow and parsimonious response. This government's response to the floods has been useless.

After the COVID Vax strollout, the rorts in funding car parks and sports facilities, aged care neglect, subs at least a decade or more away, etc; how could you characterise this government as anything but incompetent and corrupt?

This is what happens when you have a low-end marketing man as the leader of a country. The rot spreads.
Yep, the people of Northern NSW are entitled to angrily ask Morrison "where the bloody hell are you" with some help for us.

How could you call any government led by Scott Morrison and Barnaby Joyce as imcompetent?

Too complimentary? I'll try harder next time.

I actually wonder if it is possible the Libs and Nats will get 0% of the primary vote this election.
I mean surely no one will willingly vote for Scott Morrison to continue to be our PM, and Barnaby Joyce to be our Deputy Prime Minister.

How many final nails can there be?

I think the time for nails has passed.

Time to metaphorically weld these corrupt incompetant *smile* in a 5mm plate steel box,

So they can spend a generation finding some competence, perspective, and integrity.

I think Morrison should go to a literal steel box, with block walls and deadbolts and razorwire fences and grey pyjamas.

Hes a crook leading a gang of crooks.

fed ICAC? Nah, homophobia, big end of town carte blanche, pork barreling,

And they even *smile* that up.

The Morrison Government's response is not much better than the George W's treatment of the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama after Hurricane Katrina.

I didn't think I'd ever see the day.

"Emma Scott, 37, a project manager who lives at Tyalgum, near Murwillumbah, is one of many critical of slow government efforts to provide food and supplies to her village that was cut off after landslides."

"A week is too long to wait for support when your house is inundated with flood water, your animals are at risk, and you have no water, power, food, fuel or internet"

THIS.

good article. One key area that isn’t mentioned is low wage growth and job insecurity. This is 100% deliberate policy.

However, it’s not all true. In a way, the author gives the government too much credit. Sure, some of this is deliberate. But some of it still comes down to incompetency. Its a mix of both for mine.

Low wage growth and job insecurity??

Jeez, its the biggest job seekers market I can recall. From manual jobs to trades to professionals the opportunities are everywhere. If you can't find a job now you simply don't want to work. And wages (commensurate to roles) are going up.

The government is going to be forced to grant more OS worker visas to fill the void. And you'll get the usual carping from the usual suspects about this.
