It's simply what Governments do best. *smile* tax payers money down the drain while telling us how *smile* good they are.

The federal election may hinge on a new crossbench of professional women in wealthy inner-city seats and a rural revolt against the Nationalswww.themonthly.com.au

I posted elsewhere that this is the height of hypocrisy. He chairs National cabinet which agreed to accept the recommendations of the AHPPC.So Dud-mo is at it again, recklessly putting his own ambitions ahead of the country’s best interests by trying to gather votes by suggesting the states should change (relax) their iso rules when medical experts, including the AHPPC, say we need to maintain them especially with a surge in new cases, sickness, Winter approaching etc.
Man is a disgrace.
Leigh Sales took him to task on this last night. The question had a mocking tone, 'who has said this?' His response was quite amazing, but not surprising. Was at pains to change the subject as quickly as possible, like the "i've spoken to industry', body language was clear he'd been caught out, again. Just kept talking over Sales saying 'but who said it?' with vague mumbled mentions of 'people on facebook'.No Slomo, The only people saying you shouldn’t spend money on victims of natural disasters are the *smile* wits in your own party, you gaslighting mother *smile*
he certainly lies a lot, and some will brush that aside and say all politicians lie.Leigh Sales took him to task on this last night. The question had a mocking tone, 'who has said this?' Sales didn't push it really, his evasion worked and they moved on. Its as if the media have just accepted that he lies a lot.

The routineness/ relentlessness of it is undoubtedly unprecedented in a PM. He does this this everytime he speaks, its his rhetorical modus operandi. Conjures nameless vague mysterious forces that are either great and back him or are evil and he bravely stands up to.he certainly lies a lot, and some will brush that aside and say all politicians lie.
But it's the blatant gaslighting that gets me. It's unprecedented.
Just yesterday, in defending his meddling in the NSW pre-selections, he justifies it by claiming he was standing up for women.
"So, I stood up for the women in my team.
"That was what the principal reason was and people know that."
Who the *smile* are these people who knew that he's such a champion of female politicians?
She was, but there are legitimate reasons for that, the coalition have progressively nobbled the ABC since JH, they have their foot on its throat. Even so, SM still basically said he wouldn't be going on 7.30 again. He knows that its irrelevant to his chances, they ask the tough questions, and why should he subject himself to scrutiny when nobody who votes for him watches the ABC?He referred to the comments on his FB page as evidence of this too.
I thought Leigh Sales was pretty average last night, came across as a bit shrill and allowed Scott to talk over the top of her too often.
