All super quick, skilled, black and I reckon a bit of a barometer to a teams form. Don't get me wrong, I'm rapt with Tambling and reckon he's got it, but what I find interesting is that we took Tambling with a top 5 pick, huge calculated investment, while the other 2 were'nt drafted and made it via the rookie list, small speculative investment.
For the sake of discussion, compare RT and DP. Both quick and stood out, for some different reasons, at junior level. One top 5, one not drafted at all. Both now playing well and fast becoming integral to their team. Why is this so? Huge disparity at how recruiters rated them. Can you put it down to player hype?
Just interested in thoughts on this.
ps, Davey was brilliant today. Scintillating and brilliant forward pairing with Neitz. Melbourne could have a tilt at a flag with Davey playing like that and giving them that extra oomph you need in finals.
