Yep because we are the only club too stupid not to take advantage of the flaws in the draft system. Its good enough for Carlton and now West Coast to exploit the draft but not the almighty Richmond Football Club.

How is West Coast exploiting the draft? Just over halfway through the season, jumping the gun a bit there. The Tigers got a priority pick last year. Maybe we were just taking advantage of the flaws in the system too.

is this subject really dead.

imo we must now play all fringe players and get games into as many kids as possible. we should also be resting seniors who have injury in some cases send them for early ops if needed.if this is tanking so be it. a pick in the first 3 or 4 would great.
mark williams is doing this if its okay for port its okay for us.its time to start valueing those really early picks another trent cotchin would be nice anyone disagree.

What happens if the kids are winning though? Do you play kids out of position then? Tell them to lose? How low will you go?

Carlton were the masters of this last year, they didn't tell the kids to lose, but they did play people out of position, took players off when they didn't need to be, got older players to retire mid season, etc..... The clubs have worked out ways to get around the 'tanking' issue without having the players instinctive will to win mess it up for them.

Exactly...and even if we got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd picks in the draft you know we'd pick a bunch of skinny-assed midgets anyways.... :hihi

Yep, this is the line up to tank. Play the kids, and play 'em out of position.

We put Graham in as a rover.

King HAS to be ruck.

McMahon a tagger.

Richo will need to be dropped though, the bugger is playing well just about everywhere at the moment
