Glad to see we omitted Tuck for Houlihan.

Surely we must elevate Tuck and Morrison next week. Play Morrison at CHB, we are crying out for some big backs.

From the HeraldSun

At York Park yesterday, a four-goal haul from former Blue Simon Fletcher helped the Coburg Tigers snare a 26-point win over Tasmania.

In slippery conditions, the Tigers led from the outset for a 12.10 (82) to 8.8 (56) win.

Richmond midfielder Mark Coughlan increased his workload against the Devils after making his comeback from three months on the sidelines with osteitis pubis last week.

The Tigers' 2003 best-and-fairest managed half a game against Springvale last week and spent three quarters on the field yesterday, kicking a goal.

"He and Billy Nichols (also returning from injury) both played about three quarters and they were both solid, which was good," Coburg coach David Flood said.

"They didn't star but they were good."

Flood praised the role of captain Leigh Carlson, Travis Jorgenson, Shane Morrison, who kicked two goals, and Fletcher in the win.

The Tigers, sitting in fifth position on nine wins, along with Tasmania and North Ballarat, are now just two games behind top two Sandringham and Port Melbourne.

From realfooty

Coburg produced the surprise result of the round, defeating Tasmania by 26 points at Launceston, 12.10 (82) to 8.8 (56).

Captain Leigh Carlson and former Devil Travis Jorgenson led the Tigers to victory. Coburg is now poised to snatch a spot in the top four.

Pleasingly for Richmond, Shane Morrison played one of his better VFL games, as did Shane Tuck, Simon Fletcher and Andrew Raines.
