Agree Irish Stu, apart from one early clanger, Axel showed very good touch and brought others into the game (especially Pendlebury who incidentally had a good last Qtr).
I would like other country's football codes to be invited, to measure whether others can make the transition. Being a round ball makes it possible. Clearly the tackling makes that difficult for the soccer fraternity, but there are skills there that would also be hard to counter. Asking NFL to take their crash-test padding off would be interesting
.
Let's face it, it would be decades (if ever) for our traditional game to ever get close to some sort of international level - the current International format with the Irish, at least gives it a slight chance - which is better than no chance at all!
