if you're meyer why wouldn't you play well and try your hardest knowing the reward would be a big fat contract at the end of your first one, whether the tiges pay it or the crows. i'm thinking most young men these days would prefer big money and stardom and all the perks that go with it (chicks, free drinks, drugs :hihi) than being able to live in adelaide. doesn't make sense to 'tank' it. look at fiora, he was crap and ended up in St K not Ade.
Have to admit I'm happy its the same team.
with the exception of bringing Simmonds, Brown or Kingsley if they were fit, I think its the best move to keep this team.
Give them a few games, if someones form after those games is still bad then - after hes dropped he should work a lot harder to improve and get his game back to the level of reselection.
dropping them after 1 poor game would have done little IMO.
Now lets see who wants to play senior footy. Fight for your spots.

Good point - I rememer Phantom saying at the time that this guy was recruited that while he did alot of nice things and was more than adequately skilled, he just didn't get enough of the ball (this was at Under 18 level)...this seems to be a problem at senior level (or could be). IMO I see a bit of Ottens in him in terms of: lack of vigour; grunt; assertiveness and even, emotion. I know he is a kid but he has that same expressionless look as Ottens... Get some c... into you son.
