He showed he has the talent to play that well, that is all. Play well once every five week at best. He still did not deserve to be in that side on form and any one who thinks otherwise is out of there freaking mind. He will get picked this week and rightly so but cmon ANtman you cannot honestly believe that he deserved his spot on form against the Pies. Without the rain he was gone. And read my post I wanted him to do well and I am happy for him like anyone who wears the yellow and black and does some amazing things.
Yep the rain definitely helped - but he has shown he plays well in the dry too. We don't know how he would have played if it had been dry on the day.
He has always had the talent. The thing he lacks as we all know is pace. Whether he is good enough to overcome this deficiency, time will tell. Maybe, maybe not. I hope he does because he has got that talent. Remember, the guy is only 23 and is another who spent formative years under the development genius Danny Frawley. I reckon the coaches see that he has got more upside than we have yet seen, except occasionally. Remember the last few weeks he was injured/carrying a knee injury and the coaching panel STILL thought he was important enough to our structure to be included if possible.

What I am asking for is look at the selection of Krak before the game, what he does in said game and the selection are different issues.
Yep - he was certainly down on form the weeks before and could have been dropped on form. I think someone posted he put his hand up to play at Coburg during the bye. It shows his level of commitment - rather than taking a holiday he elects to put in again. He is not the lazy bugger that many here make him out to be.
What the darksiders fail to appreciate is that he plays a specific role in our forward line that no-one else does. Even if his stats are low, he is doing a job that the coaching staff appreciate. Who else would you put in there as a crumbing forward who does the hard defensive work in the forward line? Rodan? Foley? Rodan has not kicked goals for a long time and neither has Foley. And we need Foley in midfield anyway. Jackson is a marking forward or tagger. Hartigan is a defender. Can't think of anyone else at the moment but I am prepared to hear an argument on this if you want.
Sometimes if a player is important to the structure he will be carried up to a point - of course, if form is consistently bad then they should be dropped IF there is a better option.

Just be honest he is a very average footbaler who will play one good game out of seven and go MIA the other six.
He is not part of the long term future of this club but every time he goes out for the Tigers I hope he kicks a bag and gets stacks of it.
Good for you - unlike some here who genuinely want him to fail. I agree pretty much with Tigersnake's assessment of his year so far - more good games than bad.

But good luck to you guys who think he is the bees knees.
I don't think he is the bee's knees. I think he is a good player when he plays well - and he plays well more often than you guys give him credit for. He is a small forward who kicks goals - he could kick a few more than he does maybe - and who adds value in tackling, contests, hard ball and so on - things that most darksiders love. Even though his goal tally is not as high as say Milne last year he does kick goals at crunch times in lots of games.

BTW Antman you were off the Krak bandwagon when he didn't get a kick for the previous five weeks but it is much easier to tell good news isn't it.
Ooooo keeping tabs on my posts huh... I am flattered. It was a cheap shot of me to jump in with the last post but I just started reading this thread again and it made me laugh that you guys wrote him off YET AGAIN and he shoved it right back in your faces.
But to be serious my posting energy has gone pretty much into the World Cup for the last five weeks mate, on this forum and on others. You will notice I have not been posting much on other RFC threads either.
My last word on Krakouer for now - I really hope he takes his chance, does well and DOES become more consistent this year because if he does he will be a top player. If he doesn't, he is definitely tradeable, and you can quote me on that.
I stick up for him in particular because I think like some other scapegoats the darksiders hate, he doesn't get a fair go even when he DOES play well. Which is often.
