Team changes for the Bulldogs

McBean wasn't even an emergency.

The good news is that Batch and Dea were named as emergencies so they have both got over their reported injuries.

Surprised Astbury is still in. Doggies aren't that tall. Batch pretty stiff to lose his spot in the best 22 to a late change because of injury. Did nothing wrong prior. I guess if Astbury gives up a few goals because he's so slow it probably won't matter much given we should win easily.

Geez mate, keep a bloody lid on it.

Some stability for a week...don't mind it at all!!

After a couple of wins I don't mind a change or two. Keep things fresh and players on their toes.

I reckon Dea will be a late in for Astbury

Wouldnt mind it but dont bet on it BT. By the way there have been numerous changes in the last several weeks. This week to me is more a relief that we are starting to get some stability about the team.

nope..astbury was pretty good last week

I reckon *smile* is playing with an eye to North in a couple of weeks. Last year we had Rance on Petrie, Post on Tarrant and Moore on Hansen. Tarrant could be back in a couple of weeks, giving them Petrie (Chappy), Black (Rance) and Tarrant (DA).

Couple of very strong team games over the last two weeks. We just got Ellis and the Concareter back from injury, replacing the fill ins and people are whingeing we didn't make wholesale changes.

After so many years of struggling there's no way we are in a position to rest gun players against a deemed lesser side. We should be working flat out to consolidate the best twenty two players we can possibly get on the park and have them playing game after game together.
There's always going to be the odd injury niggle here and there causing unavoidable changes but apart from that, at this stage of team development there should be no fiddling just for the sake of it.

Astbury was ok last week and work hard defensively without doing too much wrong. Needs to find his feet at the level. I'm ok with him staying in.

Definitely so am I. This is a guy that could be a real swing player for the tigers. Needs to stay in the seniors for a few weeks at least to show his stuff.

Great to see no changes! Feels like ages since we had the luxury of keeping a 22 together, and hopefully it is for a few weeks.

The more they play matches together, the better they will play matches together.
