Team changes v north

Dunno why but I've got a good feeling about this game. I reckon we're going to do them like a dinner
Watch a replay of our lacklustre performance against Essendrugs Baloo - it might change your mind...

Watched it twice already thanks.

If we play like we did against Sydney, we'll definitely go close to winning.

Apparently he got a contact injury during the game, TC. A knee. So it's not known if he'll come up.
It happened right in front of me. It looked like he stretched his medial slightly. That was where he was pointing to the trainer. Soon after he seemed to get a corky on the same leg and was limping even more after. Just a flesh wound.... :hihi

I've had that feeling before, usually leads to chronic indigestion...

Never feel confident going in against North.
They blow us a way in quarter

We don't match up well on them. We can't contain their run and overlap. Also they match us for contested ball and pick us off with the loose marking defender. Hardwick struggles to adjust.

Until we learn to stop letting them continually get those rebound goals I won't be confident.

Yep, we need to give up on having a LMiD and man up on their's! Lets face it, their LMiD does a better job than ours. IMO just this small adjustment will make it a closer game than last time.

Absolutely and stop being dragged into a high press and scored over the top, Match their spare, bring the ball in in a controlled manner, switch often and attack through the middle when the chance arises,

Oh yeah and bring in Beanie for Hampson.

No Hansen, who is there loose marking defender? Jamie Macmillan?
Looks like the game will be a sellout with 1000 tickets remaining. Capacity is 20,000 not sure if that is based on head count or seats. ;D

Little joy from the VFL report apart from Conca who apparently did OK.

For those blowing up McBean no goals this week. Played more up the ground though and took some good marks, but from what I read, not up to AFL standard. Hope to be proven wrong.

Hope they send our best matchup to Waite and thats Grimes. Let Morris pick up Thomas, at least with Morris being shorter Thomas will have to dive lower to pick up his head high free kicks!!

Agree with that, Grimes gets first crack at Waite (should have happened in the final).
Rance to Petrie , Astbury to Brown.

Dimma should look to use Vlas, Dusty and Shedda predominantly through in the midfield this week.

If we beat them in the middle we'll win. Must stack the midfield.

I still don't rate North.

We can worry less about our backline match ups if

- we get first to the ball
- get it moving towards our goal at all times
- keep it away from them
- play smart in our forward line

When they have it

- harass, harass and chase
- don't give them time to set up
Get it back and go fast to our forwards

Hampson will dominate Mcintosh on one leg, or Daw
Cotchin Martin & miles (don't forget Edwards ) are better than what north have

Jack is in form and Lloyd Griffiths and Vickery are ready for a big night out

I don't think Chaplin gets an AFL game this weekend

72 hours to go

We just seem loose all structure when we play north. Just have to have Miles, Cotch and Martin at 75% of the stoppages.. Outside links Grigg, Lids, Ellis x2 to help drive the ball forward.

Whatever we do it just has to be different to the same old effort/structure we have served up v North.
