Stafford an emergency.Thats a worry they are even considering playing him.
How big a surprise would it be to see him play?
Not very considering he's close to 200 and it's against his old team.

Might give it one last hurrah.
Perhaps a last minute change?

staf will get included for sure, they will get him to his 200. We need the reserve ruckman and he can kick goals..

the question is, who will get rissoled? any niggling injuries anyone knows of?

I for one would be very surprised and extremely disappointed if this scenario happened. Sorry but i dont give a fat rats about getting players to their milestones if they dont deserve it. How many of those has he played for the RFC? And exactly how can he contribute to a RFC win after his latest performances in the seniors?

Reckon this isn't the gaem forf Danny Myer. Small SCG, in the wet is no palce for developing bodies.  Not saying Danny is not going to make it but horses for courses. Let's not cruicfy the kid.  Giid luck to him, hope he gets a bag. Another preseason and he will be ready for any conditions. Just time, that's all he needs.

What about Cam Howatt? He is a in and under player, we are getting crunched at the clearances and Sydney have mature bodies around the ball.   Perfect test for the young man.   When will he get his chance?

Interesting comment Scoop - especially since it will be wet weather footy up there this weekend. I dont think too many smalls is a bad thing this game especially around clearances.

Don't disagree at all Tubs. In fact I've been quite vocal in having a care factor of zero re Staffs 200 game milestone. However sometimes there's more that goes on inside a footy club than supporters can understand.
Staff might just rise to the occassion too...
Given he's named as an emergency, I'll be surprised if he doesn't play.

Perhaps Blaise's info on Patto may turn out to be on the money.

Well said. :clap :clap :clap
We need to win games and players who take to the field must be there because they have something to offer not because they hope to reach a milestone.

didn't see staff at the airport, but roden was (as i've said in other posts). maybe a change to happen with the expected rain? maybe he'll replace patto?

If it is wet it may be tall for small (as Ian4)

Cannot forget the inside out torpedo punt in the wet against Freo a few years ago.... :D

Agree with the smalls theory, just thought maybe a small with a mature body would suit the day better then a young skinny body but good luck to Danny.

Just thought this may have been the ideal chance for Cam.

Is this Stan Stafford's last stand? His Swansong?

Has played some big games at the SCG over the years........ usually against us :-[

All his old girlfriends and stalkers are likely to be there as well. With any luck they might end up with a limb each :D

PLAY RODAN, the harder bodies will win the match tonight, wet weather all week is Sydney.

Cmon tigers, just like the pies match!!!

One out of left feild. It wouldnt suprise me to see Lids to takeover Bowden,s role in the backline.
