wouldnt it be great tho if the young brigade stood up against the might of the swans MMMUUUUUHHHHAAHHHHAAAAAA!!!!!!! :hihi

the result (who 'wins') will be meaningless in a month

the experience for the squad will be the big factor

we win anyway

That's a lot of senior players not appearing.

Anyone in the NAB tipping comp better look at who they've tipped for most goals again. ;)

I love the look of that team. If ever Ploughs philosophy of run and carry wins games, this will show how its done. We have no option but to play that run and gun style against a tough Swans outfit.

Cant get up there so reports will be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know what time the game starts at Manuka, I must be blind, cannot find a time?

That and the NAB fixture wont work on my Mac... not sure if I have mentioned that before.

Edit: Found it... on the Swans website

Not to be nagative, but some records may be broken against the swans!
Going over with a carlton mate, who loves to put sh!te on us.Told him already don't care if we get beat by 50, just as long as the kids have a good game. As long as Riewoldt/thirsty etc show us a bit.Told him we're playing every rookie and 1st year draft pick, to save a bit of face if we get beat.
But ever the optimist, we may surprise tomorrow.Really looking forward to it because of the amount of kids in there.
Reckon Craig will be lookin forward to it as well with the amount of kids in.

As Polak's president I was hoping he'd be in the squad but I can't see his name there. I'll do a report from the female perspective, and I will keep my ears open Craig - if your posts are anything to go by, I imagine you'll be quite vocal. ;D

The Sydney Swans ended their pre-season on a positive note with a 15.13 (103) to 8.14 (62) victory over Richmond at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Adam Goodes, Jason Saddington, Nick Davis and Stuart Maxfield impressed while Barry Hall kicked eight majors for the Swans.
Richmond will rue its missed chances kicking seven behinds in the opening quarter and five in the third, with Matthew Richardson the main culprit booting 1.6.
Ray Hall got the visitors off to a great start booting a major within the first minute, but the opposing Hall replied with one of his own ten minutes later.
Richardson should have hit straight back from a free kick adjacent to the posts but missed, and failed again 30 metres out directly in front four minutes later.
Former Swans ruckman Greg Staffords goal was matched by Halls second late in the term before Sydney new recruit Nick Davis kicked a goal to edge the Swans in front 3.7 to 1.1.
Davis edged the home side closer with his second early in the second quarter from a Goodes short kick, before Ryan O'Keefe kicked them in front.
Both teams traded goals before Hall's third for the red-and-whites saw his team go into the main break leading by one point.
The third quarter was a behind-a-thon as both teams nailed four apiece until the 22nd minute when Jared Crouch and Goodes combined for a Paul Williams major.
Richardson then kicked his sixth of the game - and Richmond's fifth of the term - before Hall kicked his fourth for Sydney.
Leon Cameron's goal on the siren narrowed the gap to six points with Sydney leading 8.7 to 6.13 going into the final term.
The final quarter was all Sydney with Davis kicking his third, Hall his fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth from an acute angle before being rested, as Scott Stevens and Ben Mathews booted their first.

Sydney: 2.1 6.3 8.7 15.13 (103)
Richmond 3.7 5.8 6.13 8.14 (62)
Goals: Sydney: Hall 8, Davis 3, O'Keefe, Williams, Stevens, Mathews. Richmond: Hall 2, Stafford 2, Coughlan, Richardson, Cameron, Blumfield.
Best: Sydney: Davis, Saddington, Goodes, Hall, Kennelly, Maxfield, Williams.
Richmond: Hall, Cameron, Rodan, Stafford, Schulz
Injuries: Sydney: TBC. Richmond: TBC

Oops, four years on it will be interesting to see how different we are.

P.S. I should learn to do other things in my lunch break! ;D

Hi

I was just wanting some info if anyone can provide some on 2 players.

If we are playing all the kids this week, I was wondering why I don't see Polo.

And Casserley, have not seen his name in any reports, or listed on injury lists, and not named this week. Where is he at?

Apprediate any info anyone can provide.

Told him already don't care if we get beat by 50, just as long as the kids have a good game.

I reckon a 50 point loss would be a reasonable result...I'd take that with the youngsters in, particularly if it was a high scoring game.

Abso bloody lutely correct 42 gonna be a good exercise to see the kids get quality game time under pressure.

The scoreline means nothing its the performances and actions of the kids i will be watching, to see how they cope and apply themselves in their pressure and decision making, presentation.

Thursty, Meyer, JR, Cleever, Connors, McGuane , Patto , Edwrads, Jon , Whitey, Rainsey , Blinga thers gonna be plenty to watch and take in.

Lokkin forward to it immensely. ;D

Craigy good post. Your absolutely right, people have been screaming to give the kids ago, and now they all have the chance. It will be very interesting to see how they go. The scores are no longer important, it is how the kids handle their opportunity that will reveal the most.

Some youngster now have an opportunity to showcase what they offer us at Tigerland. Not a time to go missing for some. Will show who has the burning desire to make it in the bigtime.

They have their chance so lets hope they take it and throw some pressure back on the Senior Group to earn back their spots come round 1.

The time to step up is now.
