Imagine the uproar if we went for Lewis and Roughead.Nothing against Lewis but give me Lids or Griffen anyday of the week

would not have got a squeak out of me i seriously considered lewis at 4. for mine andits on record deledio was number one nothing would change that opinion even today. and griffen was number 2. we went 2 mids flankers at 1 and 4 we took what we thought was best available i dont have a problem with that. i wanted lewis at 4 for a while. in the end i wanted us to do what hawthorn did and that was trade into another top 10 pick to get a crack at lewis.pick 12 needed to be the best tall genuine inside onballer or ruckman available. we took none of these. at least 2 picks of our first 5 in the top 20 had to be talls. the other 3 should have been ball winning on ballers who could kick.
