So if Connors doesn't play today then either a) he's injured or b) it's for disciplinary reasons. Either way makes all the hysteria seem a little silly.

c) someone was under a injury cloud but pulled up OK and could play, d) if it was wet he was going to be a late change for a tall.

I think c or d is more likely.

just repeating claw's gem :
Claw could you please list 3 ways in which losing today to the spoon team is a win for us?
I assume if we lose today, it will not improve our draft pick given that Carlton and Brisbane lost yesterday. Therefore I cannot see any upside from losing today.

Connors getting dropped in order to gift a game to Tivendale is poor form. As is naming Rance only to not play him.

Connors is now in, as for Rance its to let him know he's next in line if an appropriate spot opens up. Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

People on here always jumping the gun. Was always pretty confident Connors would play today, he's been very good for us.

Agree MB. He only got back in when the weather looked like being bad.

Maybe one or two posters were confident about the weather ?

Actually, Patto is carrying an injury and was not going to play. Cartledge put back to help Coburg's finals campaign.
