Team vs Port Adelaide [Merged]

Port will come out and hit us hard, will we stand up under pressure? Will we handle the rough stuff?

Those who dont will be gone I've heard!

It's time to go to WAR!
Yep, time to come out with big the pre emptive strike.
Every player should stand hard beside his opponent ready for the first bounce and as the umpy bends to bounce the pill just belt the *smile* out of his opponent.
We may get every player reported.
Hell! With the puny size of half our players most of the Port guys would probably get up and flog us all over the paddock and win by twenty, but damn that first couple of minutes would get the adrenaline up and runnin.

I really hope the Tiges can go out there and win today. Last night watching the Kangaroos against the Dons, they looked ferocious at the ball, they played with spirit and determination.

I hope we play with spirit and determination although I know deep down we have niether of them in us.

The Roos have always played like that even when everyone thinks they are crap they always give a contest with guys like Archer, Harris, Grant, Harvey, Simpson etc etc they just always go hard would love Harris in our midfield he is a smaller version of Archer!!

What other options do we have than play Pattison in the ruck would rather leave him with Hughes across half forward & Polak at half back. Maybe Richo could ruck with McGuane I mean we are going to get smashed in that position today anyway & Lace out has a good leap?

I was thinking the same, they have always played that way. It's got to do with the culture of the club no doubt, our 'fighting' culture dissappeared decades ago.

I just hope 'generation nex't turn out with mongrel in them.

I thought that about the live feed, too, then I realised that the times on the AFL website are SA times. 3:10 here is 2:40 their time. In a way a few beltings may make Generation Next hungrier and meaner. Look at St Kilda once they got their young blokes up and running, they were nasty and wanted to settle a few scores by smashing their former tormentors. With Pattison, he has to do this, take on the best at the top level. If he's good enough he'll come out the other end a fairly handy player, if not well we know he wasn't up to it. Brereton mentioned that Tambling needs confidence, to believe that he belongs at this level, he's right and it's not only Bling, a lot of the Tigers young blokes need that. For that reason they need to keep being played, because if they're there when the breakthrough win comes, and it will, it'll bond them and give them that confidence to go on with it.

This mornings HUN stated that Jack is the only emergency to fly over with the team but also that Shulz had recovered from the corky so I wonder if Jack would come in for anyone else conditions depending maybe Hyde?

a smart team will rove to their ruck and go man on man if they get a run on

not that that happened last week

In the forward line Billy? :spin

With Richo drifting forward and *smile* dominating the arc, stupendous performance ;D

Nice avoidance of the question.

Schulz kicked .4 against WC and was injured in the first quarter last week. Could easily have been different.
Both weeks Hughes has kicked 3 Richardson's been played out of the forward 50.

Good luck to young Hughes, he's doing well but he's certainly gained the benefits of a predominantly Richardson free forward line.
