Team vs Sydney

RICHMOND'S squad of 25 to play Sydney on Sunday contains one major shock – Graham Polak has been named.

Joining him in the extended team are midfielder Shane Tuck, defender Alex Rance and ruckman Angus Graham.

The only omission at this stage is Trent Cotchin, whose season is over due to a hip injury.

Re: Richmond Team Vs. Sydney

I'd prefer Rance instead of Polak, not only is Rance a better player with more of a future I'm concerned about Polak ending up in a collision that could cause long term damage.

To be fair to Mark, I don't think his decision making as such has been bad. He has always been average by foot with his disposal and maybe because people are looking through less blinkers this has now become apparent.

FWIW - Even though I think we shouldn't have persisted, we did and there is still a place for Mark's type in the team. Would much prefer to see him rack up a 20/10 handball/kick ratio though.

If it's decided other players need to go and Mark retains a spot, I won't complain and would look forward to seeing what he could do after get a fair dinkum pre-season under the belt.
I think the fact he was leading the B&F after his OP problems suggested keeping him that long was justified. After recovering from serious injury once before he deserved the chance to try again.

Agree. While I don't doubt those closer to him who are aware of his injuries, it's very disapointing not to see him play a game this year.

He'd want to have a good year next year.
