Team vs Sydney

The reality is that there are others that will get cut a long way before Cogs.

He may now never become the player he could have been. However you would imagine he will not be cut before Johnson, Bowden, Simmonds, Brown, Oakley Nichols, Raines, Pettifer or Hughes.

On form alone he would be kept before Thomson and Schulz.

Agree. While I don't doubt those closer to him who are aware of his injuries, it's very disapointing not to see him play a game this year.

He'd want to have a good year next year.

He would want more than just a good year. He currently cannot get a game in a very average side.

To even get a start he has to jump in front of Tuck, Cogs, Jackson and Foley. If Lids and Cotchin continue with their improved inside game these blokes may become redundant.

Well rounded mids don't need as much support at the stoppages.

A midfield of Lids, Cotchin, Foley, Collins, Jackson and Cousins and perhaps a quality mid from the draft will be able to get their own ball as well as provide the type of spread to hurt sides.

If this happens where does that leave Cogs, Tuck and Thompson. IMO Tuck should be offered for a trade and the other two should be told they are playing for their careers next year. Perhaps neither will survive.

Hard to argue with that logic - but someone will try ;D

That last choice is hard. I would prefer King or McMahon to go. But they weren't named on the bench. If Polak doesn;t play then Rance will. (but we have enough backs in the side.

I tend to agree and really expect that unless he himself pulls the pin, that he will retain a spot on the list.

Yep, when you hand off draft picks for recycled footballers you'd hope that they'd have an immediate impact to your side.
Sure he may have some impeding injuries but he's still playing for the Burgers and yet can't crack it for a game.
Safe to say it's been a disappointing trade to date.

Richmond
B: Jake King, Will Thursfield, Chris Newman
HB: Dean Polo , Luke McGuane, Kel Moore
C: Shane Edwards, Brett Deledio, Jordan McMahon
HF: Robin Nahas, Jack Riewoldt, Jayden Post
F: Tom Hislop, Mitch Morton, Ben Cousins
Foll: Tyrone Vickery, Daniel Jackson, Richard Tambling
I/C: Alex Rance, Matthew White, Nathan Brown, Angus Graham
Emg: Graham Polak, Adam Pattison, Shane Tuck

Still no Tuck, really broke a team rule.

Hate to say it but I don’t think the club ever intended to play Polak, there is no real match up amongst their forwards for him to play against.

Naming him in the team was a good way to distract from the Chimp news though

In: Rance, Graham
Out: Trent Cotchin (hip), Adam Pattison

I wouldn't be playing Brown anymore, surely we don't want to win rather enter development mode. We know what he can offer, 15 classy touches and a goal or 2 a game, would be playing a kid before him and making up my mind if I want to keep him for 2010 already. Don't mind the changes, Polak is unlucky, White very lucky. King/McMahon, 2 players who should've been delisted last year... just get them out please.

It's a new team rule that wasn't around in TW time - "make every disposal count" and therefore one that Tucky is never going to achieve!

Why are White, McMahon, King, Jackson, Hislop and co still in the team then? :hihi

White is very lucky to make the team - you'd think that he needs a big game on Sunday to keep his place.
