Just wanted to know what supporters thought of this ploy/play the tigers continue to do.
How many games have we won/loss/came close too losing by playing tempo football.?
How frustrating is it to watch?
I was listening to the game on sen and david/k.b. were mentioning that at the 17 min mark , with 9 mins to go it was too soon to be playing tempo football. We are not skillful enough to play this style of game. We will turn the ball over.
Why dont we back ourselves and continue playing the style of game that got us to a winning position?
Last two weeks the second quarter against melbourne and the first against port were some of the most exciting football we have played for some time(8 goals and 9).
Why do we revert to slowing the game down?
Whose directive is this from ? If the players start this why doesnt terry send a runner out there to continue attacking.
I watched the game against the dons/blues and when the blues hit back i thought i wonder if essendon/knights will continue attacking or will they play tempo football ? Well the blues hit the front but the dons kept coming and play the style of game that got them such a lead and they blew the blues away.
What i trying to say here is how many times have we played this way and sides hit back hard against us,.we got into our shells and play ugly football, we turn the ball over and try to save the game instead of still playing the style of game that is both attractive, exciting to watch and the style you want the kids to develop.
Why cant we go into the kill?
Why cant we thrash sides?
Look at what the cats did to the eaglers. Well they did the same to us thats whay they won the premiership l;ast year and sides would be worried that they got their killer instinct back.
If we want to be a good side, to play finals maybe this year or next and develop a side with the right mentality with so many kids coming through. I am afraid they will develop bad habits that the seniors have had for many years.
