Federer officially back at No.1 in the world. Oldest tennis player ever at 36 years of age. Absolutely remarkable.

A remarkable achievement, aided a bit with the injuries to Nadal, Djokovic and Murray.

Aussie young gun Koknknackers 8- has just had the biggest win of his injury plagued career beating Federer in a third set tie breaker. A huge effort after getting a wild card just to get into the qualifiers, his match against Roger was his 5th game in 6 days :clap

One of the all time great matches going on right now. Incredible.

Last two days we have witnessed two great tennis matches going over what 10 hours?

Wanted Rafa to win too TF but them the breaks.

Things are a little bit stinky in the US after Serena Williams was defaulted a game in the US Open final for various infractions. Where McEnroe was condemned by the entire tennis world for his behaviour, the usual activist types are coming from the trees to defend Serena.

She just looked like spoilt brat who can’t accept the umpires decision. Then when you’re really struggling....pull out the gender card.

It's bad sportsmanship, plain and simple. She had a massive brain fade and is now making it worse doubling down on it. She's lost a lot of respect. And she showed zero respect for her opponent.

Can't stand her never have , love the race card here 's a tip grow the *smile* up girl...

Truth is she has form in this area. She rarely ever praised opponents when she lost, generally made excuses about her own form/injury. And who can forget the abuse of the lines woman. She hasn’t changed.

Disgraceful from Serena. Unbelievably brilliant athlete but has always been a very sore loser. Her losing press conferences are akin to Chris Scott after a loss to Richmond.

She wasn't standing up for women when she said to a lineswoman "to God I'll ****** take the ball and shove it down your ****** throat." at the 2009 US Open.
She's just shifting the focus from her terrible behaviour and bad sportsmanship.

Crazy how she turned that press conference into a stand for women's rights. Pathetic questions from the interviewers, clearly scared of Serena, they just danced around the subject.

Reckon her coach may get the sack though, brilliant that he can't take back that post match interview.

Who cares about Sleepy Serene. Great but boring player who cures my insomnia.

Kudos to the Mailman the other night on beating Fed. Spoke too humbly of himself after the win.

How does she pull out the race card and the gender card?
FFS she was playing an Asian Female.
With the other African American girls playing now she finds it hard to pull the race card. She gets treated the way she does because shes one of the worst sports to ever play the game and the tour will benefit when she retires.

I hope she gets her right whack on this. Pathetic behaviour.

Lead story on Fairfax: "Sexist power play ruins powerful US open final". How does everybody not see through such agendas and allow this rubbish publication to go under?
