It’s not over yet. Hopefully he’ll be punted, but maybe a bit soon for any early crow.

They will have workshopped it for a perceived no-lose

Courts allow an injunction; novax wins the beijing open, morrison gets to smirk and lie about a bleeding heart judge undermining his border control, tennis australia and chanel 9 get a huge gate

So let's hope the "Serbs" who are leaving with him all own a house.
Should be good for our younger generation to break into the great Australian dream.

There is very chance things could go this way.

Hearing tomorrow. Now squabbling if it be before a single judge (govt preference as further appeal permissible in the event of an 'adverse verdict') or full bench, whose decision will be considered 'final' (no appeal).

This seems to support the theory the govt think their chances of success not good but happy to string things out as long as possible to deflect attention from other failings.

I hope Novax wins his appeal..................and is then booed walking into the stadium, walking onto the court, before and during his serve, when he walks off the court, when he leaves the stadium and at the airport when he drags his sorry arse home.

He won’t care about any of that mate. He actually thrives on being the villain. It drives him.

So govt case for cancelling Djokovic's visa is not that he didn't observe or broke rules but rather he's inflaming anti-vax sentiment. ...Why hasn't Christensen been expelled from the govt then ? Case, on such grounds, deserves to be laughed out of court & costs met by the LNP not the taxpayer...

Yep. Biggest attention seeker in the business.
Having to settle for Djokovic being booed - instead of being punted out of the country - would be like losing the US Presidential election but receiving a certificate of participation.

Pretending is for losers. And that’s what we’ll all be if we don’t kick him out.

Reckon the Federal Court will let him stay - and open up a Pandora’s box of border security issues for Australia going forward ie lie on your visa app, if you get caught, just threaten border control that you’ll appeal and tie them and the immigration department up in knots if you aren’t allowed to stay.

Why is the government getting dragged into anti vaccine sentiment, protests etc ? Has nothing to do with it.

Just stick to the point of law - the immigration minister’s rights and the fact that he didn’t meet the exemption criteria and he supplied incorrect information on his application both of which support the minister’s rights and his decision. And then highlight the perils of not upholding that capability for Australia should they allow him to stay.

The government appear to be blowing this by going down a vague, irrelevant and easily countered path.
