Thought I'd start a thread for those interested in the Aussie tennis Open.Lindsay Davenport barely raised a sweat beating Aussie Casey Dellacqua 6-2 6-1.Gaudio through after Sabau pulled out in the 2nd set.Of the women's seeds Dementieva (9) is in big trouble losing the 1st set 7-5 & down a break in the 2nd.

Should the courts be speeded up - as per Hewitt's request - do you think ?
I would speed them up not because of Hewitt but I reckon we slowed them down to please the Clay courters which is wrong.

Ahhhhhhhh, I have fond memories of the Aussie Open when we sponsored the entire event. Corporate boxes, VIP fully catered marquees, an unlimited supply of food & drink, and an unlimited supply of tickets everyday for the whole family & friends.

These days we're pumping the moula in motor racing, and doing a fine job kicking the Generals arse around the circuits!

enough of this are the courts quick enough, the balls are too furry, women are too fat balony

Leysy wants to know where Evo & his mate "The Guru" are.

I can watch tennis, but only if he has a little rider on it.

cmon evo, Leysy needs ya to brighten up the next coupla weeks for him son.

Re: Aust Open Tennis

In other results Nalbandian won but took him 5 sets, previous finalist Schuttler continued his demise & lost & Bjorkman after winning the 1st set only won 3 games after that & was bundled out.

Re: Aust Open Tennis

In fact i have followed tennis for a long time and it is interesting to note the demise of tennis in Sweden of last 5 - 10 years.

The glory days where they dominated the top 20 in the 80s and 90's

Bjorn Borg

Matts Wilander

Stefan Edberg

Joachim Nystrom

Kent Carlsson

Mikael Pernfors

Anders Jarryd

that was a spectacular crop of gun tennis players.

The Nalbandian match was a corker for Day 1, was there and the young Thai really made him work. :clap
