You know when terry got appointed i was rapt, thought he would bring his knowledge to the club more so i remember whole heartedly that he said "whoever cant kick wont be getting a game" those words were said as he saw first hand how bad our skills were from the commentators box.
5 years on....not only has he allowed this to continue but he also has been responsible for recruiting....
I here a lot from people and media its the players on the ground that is true to an extent but i blame the coach for continually playing guys who are not up to it, IE: pressure, tackling, intensity and most of all skill....Collins, Connors, Polo and the like who can use the ball were not getting games due to his favoritism of Tambling, Jackson, Edwards, McMahon, schulz etc
schulz gee kicks what 1 goal in 3 games and survives, Nahas plays 1 game against the cats thought he did well and was then dropped, hello ok terry says i made a mistake and ill put him back in for RD 4 V the dees and drop Tambling his replacement for RD 3....
Last year many times Alex Rance should’ve been in, no lets keep persisting with schulz...7 years and his intensity and desire is non existent, Rance plays like his life depends on it, mind you his a 3 gamer...has aggression, speed and massive intensity at the ball and man...
Wallace has actually stifled the development of some of our players, lids who is star should be starting every game on the ball...terry has him back, mid and fwd...No let’s keep Jackson in the middle with his exquisite skills :headscratch I mentioned last year that lids was in the top 3 for hard ball gets in our team along with foley and tuck, again on Sunday V the dees, he was again in the top 3, with foley and tuck 1 and 2...so he can win his own ball but most importantly can use it to the teams advantage but no terry wants tuck and Jackson in there, its like having McMahon and Bowden in the back half, is it any wonder the team is all over the place, stupid selections and players not playing in the right positions who can execute to the teams advantage, so who’s fault is it really? It’s the coach “full stop” well tuck in the middle i can understand that rationale with no cuz, cotch and cogs but Jackson fair dinkum....id have thompson ahead of Jackson too...
Lids has class and unbelievable skill, but terry isn’t using him like he should be....
Terry leaves thursty out after 1 game V the blues, man o man but leaves Edwards, Tambling, Jackson, schulz, Brown for far much longer...Simmons too has been a disaster in these 4 games but holds his spot...
Thursty, McGuane and Moore have a good chemistry between them but terry thinks hey lets have 2 outside flankers in the back half, Bowden and McMahon who are unaccountable to their man and dont like body contact well more so McMahon and also both cant stop their opponents one on one in a marking duel...Thursty with octopus arms luvs sticking that mitt out and punching the ball away...
Wow i could go on and on, quite simply terry has not picked the right players when he has the opportunity too as he plays his favourites, i mean Nathan brown has been terrible but survives, put in post or even JON...to many players get a free ride in thsi side and it has to stop NOW...
Ive defended you terry for years but u have seriously under achieved and with that i say terry uve just landed on ur sword and there’s no removing it...
